Yes, i know this is random, but its occured to me that many people don't take back the change from cashiers; for example, Bill = 6.96 - You dont' keep the change...

 

 

 

So, im'a try and make a list of all the uses of change and need your help...

 

 

 

I'll go first.

 

 

 

- When you have £20 note for petrol and you it comes out at £20.03 ... You then only have a £10 or £5 to make the 3p difference.

I have found that change is a good way to build up a small bonus after a few months. Each time I get change, I just plop it on my side table, and when there is too much, I organize it. After about 6 months, I get around 30-50$ worth of Dimes, nickles, and quarters. It's nice to go turn it into a bank and suddenly have 30-50$ in bills, ready to spend on something nice.

Oh yeah, don't forget lottery cards.

Keeping it, you have to be a complete idiot to waste/throw away money in my opinion.

If it's just a penny or two I'm gonna be getting, I just tell 'em to put it in whatever charity collection thing they've got.

 

 

 

I remember, when I was in Paris, giving money to one for Lebanon. I think it was during the Israel-Lebanon conflict too.

Change builds up in my poket for bus money home from school 'cos my parents won't give me bus money.

 

 

 

Either that or chocolate money.

I throw 1,2, 5ps at people.

I made 30 bucks in a month picking up change I find on the ground at school(Dimes quarters and nickels). If i find only a penny or two, I flip it at some annoying jock/prep who makes snobby comments.

I won't pick up anything less than 10p, unless I actively need it at the time.

 

 

 

Terrible I know, my Dad hates it when I throw away pennies.

a few things that I do with my change...

 

Put it in a massive jar, then go to a bank and get them to count it out...

 

Super glue larger ammounts of change, £1 £2 and 50ps to bowls or the concrete outside of school, and watch people bend over and try pick it up...

 

Give it to tramps

 

Buy mars bars 8-)

I'm a cashier. When people leave me their change, I put it off to the side for other customers that may need it. I find that at the end of the day, that change is usually all used up by people. So, my till is never really over, people didn't have to break larger bills, and someone didn't have extra clanking coming from their pocket. All works out.

 

 

 

As for me, I don't keep pennies. Everything else I throw in a jar and exchange it for bills once the jar gets full.

Yea, basically. I don't get why people don't take their change after they pay for stuff, especially if they're already getting bills back. It's still money. ;)

I once ate a £1 coin when I was quite young and almost choked, thankfully, i managed to wheeze and cough it up and out.

 

The worst part is nobody was around me, so nobody was around to help.

I have about eight dollars in change from lunchy-poo.

Actually made me chuckle :P

I forgot to add that it is fun to take a lighter and make the penny really hot then watch kids burn themselves at school. Oh [cabbage], forgot your are not "allowed" to bring a lighter to school in America.

That's cause americans don't let you bring anything fun to school (no knives, guns, explosives...)... :lol: Yeah I live in the US.

 

 

 

Buying crap out of those little machines that you stick quarters in... Paying small children who think four nickels is worth more than a quarter... I think that's prolly the best.

Seen 2 types, one that shoots railgun style, and the other using air. Not lethal, but cool to use.

I use a credit card for most things, so I don't deal with much change. I do get it everynow and then and just keep it, I have close to $150 in change now. Don't feel like taking it to a bank though.
