I remember the day certs were introduced

 

there was a bug and it gave me certs even tho I didn't have the coals

 

in my inventory, too bad the day after it stoped doin that

My 1st week in Runescape was probably my best and worse. I was introduced to the game from a friend off another text based RPG I was playing. His in-game named was Kakuri_SSJ. I made a character, Chitsu_123. But soon disliked the name and decided on another... Zibl. This was nearing the end of 2001.

 

 

 

I won't go into long detail about all the stuff I trained on and what not. I do remember the 1st person (other than Kakuri) that befriended me was Rubbermaid. He was a high leveler at the time (around 60 combat I do believe he had told me). He gave me an iron short sword and a bronze square... boy I thought I was the stuff.

 

 

 

By the end of the 1st week, Kakuri had hit a smithing level just high enough to make up to iron legs (if I'm thinking correctly). By that time I was able to mine iron too \ . So I mined a whole bunch of iron right outside of Varrok and he smelted it at the Lumby furnace. After spending hours on mining, smelting, and smithing... me and Kakuri stood tall in our iron large(s), iron leg(s), iron square(s), and iron battle axe(s). IOf course we wore our bronze plates.

 

 

 

*sigh*. Those were the days indeed. Not because Runescape hadn't been out for a long time and all that mumbo jumbo... but because it was the golden days of being an innocent newbie and finding out all the great things about Runescape.

I like joined on feb 2001 (as warrior class), trying to do cook's assistant, and i was like, where do i get all the stuff? ZOMG in the end my friend gave me the flour , egg and milk, but I ended up mixing the flour with some water (picked up) . My friend went mad and logged out. Btw I burnt the bread

I remember when I was level 0-60 or so I stayed F2P. All I remember really is people asking what combat I was (as you couldn't tell at the time). I remember standing in Varrock buying rune items and then selling them for more until I had full rune. I went into the wilderness and some prayer beast hit a 17 on me (which was the highest hit I had seen) so I decided it wasn't a wise idea to PK.

 

 

 

A few days later, my mate said we should buy a cheaper set of armour and protect our rune sword so we went out in full black armour and it was actually pretty exciting. :oops: Of course, I got addicted to hitting numbers on people and just kept training and going into the wilderness. It's all I did.

 

 

 

I tried to level skills, but I couldn't keep interested enough and ended up just simply logging in to PK.

 

 

 

I think the best time was when I was about level 87 walking around the wilderness with I Wicked I. It was quite funny watching Zar Family 2's team fight Max333's team. Adx1 was about 104 back then and I remember I Wicked I protecting me from him.

I remember when I first stated palying... Ah, what a wonderful and mysterious time it was. Well, when i first started you were given the option of picking a class of player, there were mages, rangers, warriors, and adventurers. I picked a warrior, and don't regret it to this day.

The most unforgettable incident i had in rs was the bear attack ..i was in varock forest, trying to collect body runes(theres a respawn there isnt it?) and i somehow attacked the bear by mistake and i kept running and running until the bear killed me lol , ever since then i hate the bears in rs and kill them everytime i see them :evil: and ohh,i used to mistook Highway man for another player and i wondered why he hated me so badly coz he kept attacking me :oops: and do you guys remember the cloud thingy whenever u smelt ores? i thought it was an item and i was thinking of a way to get to the rooof (the small furnace house in lumby) to get em :anxious:

The most memorable event for me in rsc, when it had f2p and was the classic everyone remembered was classic... was when i had my first fight in the wildy. I was in that place everyone calls the 'Man House', in Edgeville. trainin up my combat lvls. I was about lvl.25 then. I had a mixture of black and steel armour and steel weps. My aim was full black, cause i thought it looked cool. Then this person who was cmbat lvl 28 came in. he had full black and black weps. he challenged me to a duel and cause i didn't know wot one was at that point he took advantage of that and said nothin dangerous would happen so i followed him. b4 i could escape he killed me and i lost alll my stuff -sobb-. i remember appearin in lummy and i was almost cryin my heart out inside cause i had lost all the stuff i had been gettin for weeks. But it only took a few months and i had full mith and full black and black and mith 2handers lol. It was only a few days after that that rs2 came out, and then of course classic was banned...

I remeber the frist time i went to the wild on my old [wagon] char that got hacked named is shark bit. i had addy large chain legs and kite and a addy long so im like walking in like im the [cabbage] you know and all of a sudden im like someone my lvl im gonna kill this fool and they pulled out a r2h and 3 hit my sorry [wagon]. i didnt play for about a month after but then i came back and be came a well known pker.

My very first day of runescape on my old account (2002), after dissing Jammy316 for playing it- I went around because he told me to get him a Wizards hat, when I finally bought one for 26gp, he bought it off me for 1k :).

i started back in the day and i was around lvl 50-58 when i got a santa, for 200k, then traded it for a black hatchet...at the time i thought it was rare as maces were 400k...turns out i was scammed. i remember the FIRST update i saw when i was on was seeing ppls levels out of wild. i remember high lvls with full rune begging for items and they gave it to them. and 1 guy was in fally sqr and didnt notice the update, he got teased so bad :P ...my m8 who showed me the game (who i knew irl) was lvl 40 ish and i had beaten his skills and items in the first month. first goals 18 smithing which was full bronze which i accomplished at lvl 20 combat ish. Back in the day hatchets, daggers and i think meds were all the first items you could make in any metal...soz for spelling btw

My first day in RuneScape was very funny, after a few hours ( :lol: ) i've finished the tutorial, and then i started to kill cows... and after a few weeks i thought, hmm why is my prayer so low ( it was 4 ) till i asked my friend, how do u train prayer? He said, u can't train it, u need to be friendly to the rs gods and go to the church :lol: . I was like ok, i went to church, till my rl friend asked what r u doing *? I was like, training prayer, he said u need to bury bones!! :lol: I was like, ok and i started burying, and look now, i'm still 41 :lol: 8)

As much as i'd love to write all of my memories from rs i simply don't have time and don't think it's worth the time anyway lol :)

 

 

 

My best memory from rs was like most peoples, from very early on! I had my original character Ad2002e who was all about skills but got stolen, i had Adx1 who was all combat because at the time i thought skills made you ''impure'' i had an assortment of beliefs back then haha everything i ever heard was third hand and therefore it was more like chinese whispers and then i had my pker Shr3k, i think at the time Shr3k was 40 30 48 (i had an odd belief in defence too, didn't like being hit too much in black/mith) Anyway.. One day pking in my full addy and rune 2h (long just wearing no shield lol) i mean anyone who remembers that will remember saying ''no it's a 2h'' like when you were out of the wilderness ''im lvl 150'' all of the true noob stuff haha :) anyways.. I was pking on Shr3k and a bunch of black pures attacked me above varrock.. I wasn't entirely sure why because they were lower lvls than me but then again i think there were 3 of them.. I ODDLY managed to 3 hit one and i mean oddly because clearly i didn't hit hard haha i had no prayer either by the way lol.. I got pilejumped but as that happened it turned out he'd pilejumped me and he had less than half hp.. I killed him as he pilejumped me and looked at the pile to my absolute astonishment there was a 2h there!!! Bear in mind this was back at a time when 2hs and kites were still worth 1mil+++ can't remember exactly how much but if anyone else remembers their first 2h pk they remember the complete excitement/panic i picked that up left everything else and tried running to edge thinking of all the bad things that cud possibly happen and by that time i think i was literally shaking lol.. None of my friends actually believed me at the time until i actually showed them lol.. The only person who actually said ''well done'' was Iampenguin but then again he was a runesmither so it wasn't a great deal to him lol.. Unfortunately that excitement that i used to get from pking eventually subsided. I'll never forget that one kill though because it changed me from being a noob with rune legs lrg long addy plate and addy kite (on Adx) into a noob with full rune and one who had the money to start magic haha :) I was financially set for a while after selling the 2h it was my best feeling and memory of rs :)

I have many memories from when I started, as does everyone... but what I really miss most about the old rsc was when it was around 2003... when most of the older pkers were still around and there were all the old rivalries among most of the big-name pkers. That made pking unbelievably fun... some days I would pk for like 6+ hours straight... switching off between checking servers for ppl and checking the message boards for new posts. :lol: Nowadays it's just crap because hardly anyone solo pks... meaning if you want to fight someone you have to risk running into a 4-5 man team where usually at least 1-2 of those people are using some sort of ac. :wall:

wen i started there was no tuturial island, but it came out wen i was bout lvl20sh so i made a new char lol just 2 do tuturial and from that day on i was set :D and my earliest memories of pkin is wen 40 1 60-70 were 1337 stats lol and i got to 40 att using wine/dummies trick :o and my first rune 2h cost me rune baxe and kite which i payed 450k ea for lol..... countless days at karamja... and ud laugh ur butt off at noobz that wore scimmys.....

The absolutley first memory i remember was when i went up from Lumby and got lost. Then i got into wildy and i didnt know what wildy was. Anyway i ran out from wildy then back again because i was curious. and i guess i attacked someone. I had like bronz armor. I didnt knew what i were doing. Then i died and lost everything. Then i never leaved far away from Lumbridge again

Anyway i remember when i told him to do a rs account so he did, then i meet him at lumby and he went trying to kill cows and he died. Then i gave him a bronze medium + 100gp so he could start getting money. Lol so funny... Man i miss it :'(

I would wander to the small town of Rimmington (the town ppl forget is even there, it is by port sarim gobs) and I would pick up the bronze scimitar there and then sell it to the general store for hours lol... I made about 20k.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After I left rimmington I went to port sarim and hopped on the boat to karamja and fished and fished.

The first time I played runescape i was convinced that the bank that you deposited items was the only bank that you could get them back from... so i would always be walking .. until i tried a different bank and i got my items out. i told my brother bout my discovery and he was in awe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another memory was getting my first party hat --- it was a red one and around 1.5mil.
