Unless he set out from the offset to be untraceable, and actually knows how to do so, he can easily be found with the right methods.

If it's possible, go for it.

You'd think people would be smarter than to believe things like that. Then again, you'd also think people would have more dignity than to sell their souls over a game... :|

Hackers seem to be smarter than everyone gives them credit for...

hackers have to be smart to prey on the stupidity of others. granted, there are stupid hackers i'm sure, but stupid hackers get caught.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

Or is the stupid ones that take your account on a joy ride while you're not on and get you a few million gold and some 99's? That's a stupid hacker imo...

Glad to hear you got it back kota :)

Ugh, there is another idiot doing it -.-

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

I would delete those tracking cookies, but tracking cookies only get information on what pages you've visited not passwords or anything.

I would not worry too much about it. On my old laptop (which got stolen ), I forgot why but we got our friend who is a computer wiz to scan my comp. If you had counted the number of things it found, you would have been horrified. The scans took like 3-4 hrs so it was boring lol. and for some reason, whenever norton does a full system scan, there is always 1 cookie found. and guess what, it recommends ignoring it, but i try to fix it...then it says fixed (btw this one is rated 1/3 for threats, and says it wont do anything to my comp), another scan a week later, and a new cookie comes. I think its from rs tho lol, or youtube, but either way, it doesnt go away lol.

anyway, i got of track and the point is, ignore them.

"Tracking cookies" are really nothing to worry about. These things are generated by most advertisements as they load. Basically they track which advertisements you click. It's just marketing really. They can also be used for sessions (what I mean by that is when you go back to the Tip.it forums for example, you'll still be logged in).

Well, as far as limiting the accounts by post count, I have posted in a few hundred threads... but they were in the market place, and thus don't count... so limiting by how long they have been members, and how active they are makes more sense.

Taloopis if you want to get rid of them go to:

Internet Explorer - Click Tools -> Internet Options -> In the browsing history click delete -> Delete all

Firefox - Ctrl+Shift+Del or Tools -> Clear Private Data... -> Click all -> Clear Private Data Now

Should get rid of them. Gets rid of all pages you visited but still keeps bookmarked/favourites and keeps passwords. :D

On topic:

Its pathetic how they do this, just because they can't be bothered to play a game and raise an account themselves they take someone elses account which took them ages to train and change their password and your account is gone like that.

Remember these 5 steps:

1.Set recovery questions

2.Make a bank PIN on RuneScape.

3.Check links by right clicking -> Properties and it will say the correct link

4.NEVER type in your RuneScape/Funorb password into any other website except RuneScape or Funorb.

5.And the most important one... GET A ANTI-VIRUS

Hope everyone will get their accounts back and please follow the 5 steps above next time. :D

omg i almost clicked the link :o im soooo glad i caught myself  so does this site take my acount even if i dont go to there site?

I know it sounds bad but if anyone has a picture of the site I'd like to know what it looks like so we know what we are all up against out there.
