Quests - Guide or freestyle?

JIM

Recommended Posts

honestly, i will do quest as much as possible without using a guide. but if i come to a problem that i cant solve on my own, i will go to quest guides for help. but i only use the guides for the part im stuck on.

(or if im in a hurry i'll use the whole thing. :))

I use guides if I get stuck, or if I'm helping out my friends on a quest that I did awhile ago and don't remember what to do.

MEP 2 would've been hell without a quest guide.... How is it even possible to do it without one!!?

At least a few people had to do it without, guides don't come out of nowhere.

OT: I only use guides for the items needed and I try to do it without them besides that. It's annoying going back and forward to the bank all the time... But I actually really enjoy quests in that way. Not as any kind of challenge, but just as something fun, relaxing and different to do then the average scaping.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

I used guides at first (to get my quest cape a little over a year ago), but now I try to freestyle them the first day they're out and I avoid guides. It makes it a bit more interesting and challenging (and yes, I do like a good challenge :XD:).

I think anyone who hates quests as much as I do would use a guide.

I think anyone who hates quests as much as I do would want to use a guide that has taken 24 hours to make so its got every single detail in it.

I use them to check what items I should get, and freestyle it until I get stuck.

Some quests are too annoying to not guide... rather get it over and done with than struggle for hours and be like woot I did it all by myself...

But yeah, get the items, and if you need help guide it.

I completely agree!!! Whoever did it without the guide (like the ones making the guide for it), I give all the credit in the world to! That was my very last one before quest cape. Now that I have my cape, i just do them right when they come out without guide cause its fun and i've met my goal of doing all the quests. ::'

If it's a new quest i'll freestyle it, since i've done all the quests though, I can't really use guides anymore :P

I take myself to the G.E., pull up a guide, see what items I need for the quest, buy any that I don't have in my bank, and then close the guide.

I find questing enjoyable - it's a nice break from the repetativeness of skilling. I just don't like to teleport around like crazy having to buy all the items in the middle of the quest!

Exactly my approach.

Same. Most quests are pretty obvious anyway.

I use guides for all the quests except for the ones that just got released (if I do those). A lot of quests are fun and not tedious at all, but there are even more that are really annoying because you have to walk, walk, walk, get X obscure items you've never heard of, walk some more, find out you forgot your pickaxe, walk back, etc. And most of the time it's just to get a req for a quest with good rewards or xp in a skill you don't like leveling.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

Winged Fish on a RWT complaint-

There's four complaints on the whole site, one from a mother who was convinced by her son that the RWTers she was buying him items from were from Jagex (and then got scammed and is taking it out on Jagex), two people complaining about having their accounts taken away, and one ranting on the trade restrictions and wilderness removal.

Now just change the background color and page layout, and you have the RSoF

Heh, I did it when it first came out, although I wasn't allowed to write a guide for it as a direct instruction from Mod Mark.

I used to do all the quests when they first came out and write guides for them for another site. However now I don't really have time to even do quests, although this weekend I'm spending it rushing through the quests I haven't done, did 6 or 7 yesterday, have to do about that much again today, using a guide for them. Mainly to tell me what items I need before hand.
