Latinoking
Angels & Demons is an upcoming film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel of the same name, due for release on May 15, 2009. It is the prequel to The Da Vinci Code (2006), another Brown film adaptation, although that novel was published after Angels & Demons. Tom Hanks reprised the lead role of Robert Langdon, while director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman also returned. Filming took place in Rome and the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click here. Lenin64
Please, Hollywood, don't ruin a frikking awesome book. I mean it, that book was the bomb. I used to sit in class and draw the upside-down rightside-up words instead of paying attention. And the Hassassin was win. Command the Murderous Chalices! Lenticular_J
Should be a good adaptation. Us who read the book will probably hate it, though. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
Nom
I enjoyed the film version of the Da Vinci Code but couldn't even finish the book  Consequenly I haven't read Angels and Demons.
____
I'm not expecting it to be butchered but there's only one way to find out ...
stevepole
I never read any of the books, but I was pretty impressed with the Da Vinci Code. So for a sequel I'm going to expect it to be a little worse then the original but still be pretty good non the less.

PumpkinPete112
Haha, a prequel to the da vinci code. There are actually people who want to see that? Ahh but heres the thing, it has NOTHING to do with The Da Vinci Code, except that it both uses religous subject matter. Angels and Demons in a prequel and is a totally diffrent story, with much more emphasis on action. The only time it is ever refrenced is in the book, and even then all they say is something to the effect of "This situation reminded Langdon of the incident at the Vatican a few years ago." Cant wait :!: Sig
Faux
I've read all of Dan Brown's books and their plots are pretty much the same. Though I'd like a movie of his first book, Digital Fortress. Best one by far imo. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Will H
In my opinion Angels & Demons was a better book than the Da Vinci Code, and has great potential as a movie. Let's just hope they don't mess up the book, but that might be wishful thinking. ~ W ~

Toxic388
The book is that good? I should go buy it. \ Very good book. It was far more interesting than The Da Vinci code. Also check out Deception point by Dan Brown too. ~Retired 10/17/07~"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." - George W. Eregion2
The thing about Dan Brown's books is that they all follow the exact same plot. So, if they change stuff around, maybe they'll be able to improve on the author a bit. After reading four books I gave up; it was like G.A. Henty except not as prolific. #-o

killerbeer0
The book was excellent, better than the Da Vinci Code by far. And the people making this movie are way better than those in the Da Vinci Code. This is going to be sick. OH S***! He/she/it is back!
Lenticular_J
tom hanks doesn't work as robert langdon. its just. no. Why not? Older, deep-voiced, a professor. I think Tom Hanks can do it.
