FlameHawk18
In 4th Grade, RuneScape became a trend. I played it as an immature little kid in 2nd Grade... but I completely forgot my totally pwnful lv 34 thats hiding somewhere. But in 4th Grade, everyone started playing it. If you were under level 30 you were considered uncool. I was the highest level in the class. Instant popularity. In 7th Grade now, it's a trend again. xD And I'm the highest level in the class still whilst everyone else is in the 40-80 range. Lets see... Beyblades in 1st and 2nd Grade. I had the most powerful one. xD Never lost. I was a god. We used to have selective teams, and had specific leaders. Teams actually saved up for extra Beyblades. Like funding, for the expensive beyblades. Football cards in 5th grade. Some guy hired me to sell them. xD I sold like 90% of the inventory to myself. Waste of money. Hm... In 6th and 7th Grade... the trend for the girls were some type of wristband about sex and if a guy broke the wristband they had to do something to the guy. Nobody broke any because we all hate(d) each other. And the last trend... Soulja Boy dance circles in 6th grade. I just video taped it with my phone and laughed. fastortoise
I think the biggest thing in history was pogs 8-) Ugh... pretty much. I preferred "slammers" though, made of either plastic or metal. I remember once we didn't go to class after the bell rang because two 6th graders were playing with 5 metal slammers each. Then they got some with [bleep]es.. ugh..
l0rd
I remember Pokemon Cards too. People would always judge you based on how big your deck was. ... how big your DECK was. :P (I'm so immature.) It's been done, bro. Twice. ....How big your DECK was. HAHAHAHAHA MR. dsavi
I sold all of my Pokemans to my little brother. And then my mom bought him a whole bunch, they're really expensive and it's not like they're worth that much...
AndyPandy
Beyblades, pokemon, Lego, Chess, Bionicles, football (that one really caught on :)) and gel pens. I mean WTF? People would trade like 3 normal ones for the smelly ones. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Faux
I missed the Pokemon craze... got into Yu Gi Oh though I never spent more than 50 bux on it while my friends spent... wont even count I guess I was there with the beyblade thing but I never caught on to it. I guess its because I played a more old school version of it called "Trumpo" where you spin a piece of thread around a shaped block of wood and make it spin and try to outlast your opponent's. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

xstompx
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but from what I can remember: Pogs, Beanie Babies, Yoyo's, Tomagotchi, Pokemon cards, Tech decks, and lastly airsoft guns. Minus airsoft guns, this is basically my elementary school experience.

amazizing333
I'm not joking, but I can't seem to remember what pogs were. Were they those things that had like a cartoon head and would flip open with candy inside? or something like that? When you are talking about the wristbands, are you talking about Livestrongs? I still have one. Lol, remember how everyone had pokemon cards, but NO ONE knew how to play it? IMHO, yugioh was a GOOD card game. Yes, I said it. -.- It was like the only simple card game. Attack and the bigger number wins. How much more simple can it get? And I know there were all the magic cards and stuff but lets just forget them. Riku3220
I'm assuming I'm the only one that went to official tournaments when the Yu-Gi-Oh craze started? Everyone wanted to play 'street rules' which pretty much means make anything up as you go. One guy tried fusing 2 creature without a polymerization type card and without the fusion card itself. He said it was allowed as long as he knew the stats of the card. -.-
Rollyboy
Barbie dolls (with pink corvette convertible car and Ken(if you had Ken after their breakup you weren't cool)). Cabbage patch kids. Dora the explorer (the beanie was my favourite). :^o Yo-yo's (school banned them) Pokemon Dragon ball z All of the funny crazes happened during primary school. dragoonson
I've been to Duel Master tournaments.I used a deck where all my cards were mana cost 3 and below, beat every deck they had, since most players were kids who use cards based on power, not efficiency,or new players with relatively good decks. No prize, but there was a compulsory bet of a card minimum rating 3/5. Also,Magic:The Gathering.Blue/White,I have Tireless Tribes and all other creatures are Flying. Remember how you used to be able to tell from your first hand the outcome of the game, and how to avoid losing?Yeah,my decks were always designed so that I will get at least one good, usable card early game. so i herd u liek devarts? If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".[hide=This's why I'm hot]The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".Amen, brother :lol:Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)amen Bruder! db300
Yo-yo's (school banned them) Pokemon Dragon ball z All of these happened in my elementary school. The yo-yo craze happened just like it occurred in the Simpson's episode (you'll know if you saw it). When I was in middle school, there was also an odd craze with Spongebob. All of the "gangster" guys wore Spongebob jeans and backpacks, and there were also a lot of pick shirts. Odd times...
Forerunner
Mine are similar to the starting post of the thread. First it was these little plastic things called Crazy Bones. Then it was YuGiOh Cards (I lost some of my soul during that phase -.- ), then it was Bayblades (thank God that was the last of the lame phases.), Console games & now it's PC Games. Riku3220
That reminds me. We had a yo-yo craze at my elementary school as well, except it was the school board that encouraged us to use them. They got some yo-yo expert to do a bunch of fancy tricks for us and the next day yo-yos were for sale! Everyone was trying to do the tricks that the guy was doing but nobody could. The best I could do was the 'Around The World'. Fun times...
