Its not just OMA DC its the crap like Care Package Chopper Gunners/AC 130s, crazy overpowered assault rifles with no recoil or sway, lag, painkiller, bad maps, hackers, UMP etc

w00000000t finally got airstrike 3!!!!!!! now i can prestige to 2nd finally! on another note, i end this prestige with ~800 FAL headshots and finished marathon pro 6! i'm practically done with the challenges for the emblems/titles i want (need 200 more for the FAL 1k). also got 500 spas kills this prestige too. great shotgun.

Today was good. 500 kills with SPAS 12, 500 kills with Intervention aswell. Also does anyone know Gun1t123?I played with him today but failed when I was playing, so I had to go. He done his 2nd S&D Nuke. My name is mentioned around 6:25 or so. :)

No killstreaks. TDM and... something else. There's also Objectives Barebones, which is CTF, Demo, etc.

I've played quite a few games of MW2 again, and have yet to see any OMA DC, M/L/C... or anything like that at all. I think you guys are over-exaggerating this a little bit :???:.

Well for one thing it's dead [bleep]ing silent. You have no idea how quiet the game is without the constant whirring of a harrier or chopper.

You obviously have never played this game any further than a split screen match vs a 5 year old kid.

Barebones sounds like a step in the right direction, but I didn't really have a problem with the CoD4 killstreaks, just that if you died with a helicopter you could get another just from the first copter's kills. If I played barebones every time I start beasting I'll be thinking "if this was Ground War I'd have CG/AC-130 right now". Would have been nice if they'd made it 3-6-7, with UAV/PA/AH. One of the major problems in MW2 is that theres too much [cabbage] up at once, e.g there can be 2 Harriers, a Pave Low, and an AC-130 flying around, as well as any number of bad kids with care packages and sentry guns. On CoD4 its 1 copter at a time and 1 airstrike at a time.

Uhhh... my Spec Ops and my SP progress just became 0%? I don't understand what happened. My multiplayer is intact... but everything in the single player department reset itself. I still have the achievements and all. FML. Have to go complete the game on veteran again.

Lol some kid ragequit on Bloc after I got a 5-in-1 airstrike.

i did the "carpet bomb" challenge with the 2 jets that preceed a harrier, but my internet was [bleep]ed up and i DC'd, losing all the progress i had in that game (something like 5 FAL headshots, 4 airstrikes called in, carpet bomber challenge, 34-7 showing)

Well I realized something today.

 

THERE IS NOTHING [bleep]ING WRONG WITH THE MULTIPLAYER.

 

Seriously, 90% of the people that complain that "this and this is overpowered blag" are people that just came out of a bad game. Seriously, if you're not enjoying the match you're in, then just quit. I do it all the time, because I play to have fun. If I'm not having fun, I leave, and join another match until I find a good one. And once you start doing well, its great. The fact is, there is a way to counter everything. Hell, I don't mind people using running around knifing, because they just get me free kills towards a killstreak.

 

Think a killstreak is overpowered? There are ways to avoid or destroy everything.

 

With all that out of the way, I can't decide if the new map packs are worth it. They look interesting, but I don't like the price.

Lol you're thinking that because you just came out of a good game. I can do great on MW2 most of the time, but the satisfaction in getting kills is just not there when the guns are so strong and my air support is getting half my kills. Lets not get into all that [cabbage] about Stingers and Blast Shield and how it "balances" things. Also, the maps are pretty damn bad. The games not as awful as many people make out but its got massive problems, and I don't see why I should have to deal with them when I could just play CoD4 and have a much better time. As for the map packs, I'd say they are worth it despite the price, I have the Stimulus and I don't regret buying it, and if I was still playing MW2 I would buy Resurgence, the Carnival maps looks great and Vacant and Strike where good CoD4 maps.

 

TBH though I think the WaW map packs were best value for money, 3 maps and a Zombie map in each one, CoD4's had 4 but Killhouse is only playable in FFA and Creek is an annoying map at times. IW were pretty stupid not to just put 6 maps in each pack for MW2, then it would be 50% more for 50% more maps and they could have avoided all the nerdrage over it.
