I don't think it lowers damage. Without a silencer barrett still isn't always a 1 hit kill, even with FMJ it isn't always 1 hit kill. Whenever I snipe with a silencer I haven't noticed much of a difference. But, now I use thermal and FMJ so this doesn't really matter for me.

You need to be like 10 feet or less o get a headshot using silencer to be a 1 hit kill.

I don't remember if you just drop Insertion or actually throw it, but if you throw it, can you possibly use it to spawn on top of otherwise inaccessible places? like a building or something.

I can't afford to buy it (and, at the moment, don't really want to buy it) but my brother borrowed it from Blockbuster. It is quite a good game from what I saw, but I don't play borrowed game. Buy it for me and that's a different story.

Well, I really enjoyed the storyline even if it was a bit over the top in places. The spec ops were good fun to do with a friend, they definitely require teamwork and some can take a lot of time to work out the best way to do them. The multiplay is the best bit for me, they have taken the best bits of COD4 and added a lot of customisation options which I really enjoy. The maps are good in my opinion. Overall I would say it has been on the best game purchases I've made this year.

Thinking of making a stealth class, what would be a good set-up? I was thinking P90 with silencer and some sort of sight, with marathon, Cold-blooded and Ninja (pro when I finish the challenges). With throwing Knives of course. :D

Yeah lol. I ran into a guy on the PS3 running around Akimbo Model 1887'ing earlier today. I was, err, suprised to say the least. But no other class has made me laugh so much.

Seriously sucks. I always get idiots for teammates on domination. I basically saved everyone's [wagon] because they were just trying to kill everyone and not protect the flags. I seriously got 2 triple kills in less than 5 minutes from shooting guys that were coming up. <_<

I always seem to get idiots for teammates. For some reason people seem to think it's a good idea to run IN FRONT you while you're about to shoot somebody. And when a predator comes, they FOLLOW me! They also think it's a good idea to set up camp on a rooftop I'm already on.

Unlocked the P90 today. Great gun, the only shortfall really is the medium-ish amount of recoil, but the damage is just <3 Fitted FMJ and a Red Dot Sight, trying to unlock the ACOG scope. Great weapon on maps like Karaichi (?) and Favela.

So I unlocked the ACR, and of course I'm still enjoying it, but I'm starting to think the Holo is better now, at least on automatic AR's. I do really well with it on my ACR. I think I can get a bead on the other player more easily and it feels rock solid on tons of maps, especially Terminal which previously I sucked at.

Me and my friend pissed about with some riot shields today, [bleep]ing funny punching people in the face with them.

Works out quite well too, if you do it right.

Thing is with the Javelin it has to go up and then come down on killstreaks, which takes quite a while. Some killstreaks need 2 rockets as well because they have flares.

Can't have silencer, sight, and marathon at the same time :P

I use a silenced vector, throwing knives, smoke grenades, marathon, cold-blooded, and ninja pro. So much fun using only throwing knives, I've actually gotten a positive K/D ratio doing that once.

So I need some advice from experienced snipers. I use a Barret with heartbeat and FMJ, Im not a novice sniper, but I'd like the best possible setup for a sniper. I have urban, desert, and arctic ghillies btw.

I personally use thermal and FMJ, thermal because it makes it so much easier to find campers, enemies, and other snipers, and FMJ because it makes most shots a 1 hit kill. For perks, I use Bling pro, stopping power pro, and steady aim pro. For equipment I have a claymore and a smoke grenade. This may not be the best possible setup, but I find it to be pretty effective.
