Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Best experiene in this game is probably 1) Search and Destroy and 2) Team Deathmatch right?

 

And I am playing around with killstreaks, I can't seem to get a good one started unless I have UAV as my third.

 

Best one (I find) is:

 

Harrier (7) -> Stealth Bomber (9) -> AC130 (11)

I use predator(5) - Pavelow(9) - (AC130)

 

The predator will get you the pavelow and pavelow will get at least 5+ kills, AC130 will destroy them..

 

Chopper Gunner is better then Ac.

 

Does anyone know if you get any rewards for prestiging like you did in 5?

 

Extra custom class slots. My setup is Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Nuke.

For some reason my school district thinks it's a good idea for middle school and elementary school to get out earlier than high school (It's a plot to get parents to pay for daycare I tell ya!) and my cousin just sits downstairs and watches TV all day. I'm probably just going to move the 360 upstairs and sacrifice 12" of TV. :sad:

Give him a super ball and tell him to bounce it outside, then you can move in on the T.V. his parent will like it too b/c then hes outside instead of the tv. Or give him a dollar!

She is 14 and she is the laziest person you'd ever meet. And if I try to get on the game she'll pull the "Hey I was going to get on!" when she was flipping between Disney Channel, BET, and MTV and then run to tell my mom and then I'm off of the game and the computer...

believe it or not, i don't like this game. i don't like the multiplayer, i don't really like the single player, and i sure as hell don't like spec ops. my friend bought it and enjoys it, he was at work one day so i played it and beat it, played the online a bit and i think i'm done with it now. basically i had the same experience with cod4 as well except i paid for that game out of my own pocket, so that sucked. i honestly don't see what all the hype is about with this game as it hits far underneath it with my playing it.

 

also, this game pissed me off before i even played it, there isn't a co-op campaign and spec ops is [cabbage]ty, that alone turned me away from the game considering the back of the box was misleading to me, i'm just glad i didn't pay for it. if anyone does catch me on multiplayer (those few of you with my gamertag) it'll only be because some of my irl friends are playing.

i have never been impressed with a shooter's story, that i can remember at least.

 

yes mw2 had some cool moments (snow mobiling, the boat at the end, etc) stuff like that is cool, overall i found mw2's campaign to be highly confusing as half the time i had no clue what the [bleep] was going on except i had to kill people. i was listening to the inbetween mission dialogue, and everything as well.

What exactly is wrong with Spec Ops? They also purposely made no Coop for the campaign, because they wanted the storyline to fit, like in Cliffhanger, they tried two people w/ Soap, but that didn't feel like a stealth mission because it is much easier for one person to climb up a mountain and sneak through a base than two people going together, and the second player as Soap sure as hell didn't work for the story. What also is wrong with the multiplayer? Also, why does it being hyped make it worse for you?

spec ops is not my style of gameplay at all. i understand how it appeals to some people, but not me, except for the snow race, but that was fun to do regardless of my time. honestly there is nothing wrong with it from a game standpoint, i just don't like things like that, to me it feels tacked on.

 

i understand that they purposely did it, i just don't agree with it. the back of the case says "players 1-4 co-op 2 system link 2-18" etc etc. also for xbox live online multiplayer 2-18 co-op 2

to me, that means campaign co-op. i know technically it means if there is any co-op at all they can put it there, but i was highly disappointed anyway also, unless i'm [developmentally delayed]ed, you can't do splitscreen and online multiplayer, my friend and i tried and couldn't figure it out cause when we went to splitscreen it was just us 2, whereas xbox live wouldn't let him in the group. if you can correct me on this, by all means, do. it will actually make multiplayer more interesting to me, as it's always more fun to play with someone next to you rather than by yourself.

 

the multiplayer annoys me. it seems like everyone gets cheap kills, especially with thermal, granted yes. i get what seems like cheap kills too, but it's not as satisfying as something else, i don't feel like there is any real skill involved half the time. yes there is skill needed, don't get me wrong, but half the time it just seems stupid and lucky shots.

 

the hype doesn't make it worse for me, it just doesn't meet the expectations i had with the hype, and being as biased against modern warfare as i am (i didn't like the first one either really) i was expecting it to be a bleh experience. the experience i had with the game was basically "start the mission - bleh kill people - hide while healing - kill people - listen to chatter - kill people - kill people while listening to other chatter - finish mission" it just wasn't impressive save for a few woah moments. even the end was just bleh to me, especially the fact that

as far as i can tell it doesn't even matter where you aim the knife at the end, as long as you point it at him it hits him in the same spot, immediately killed any awesome that last part had, because i was trying to hit him in the stomach, and no the game is like "ha, it's going in his eye, same spot as always"

so even that was lackluster. i can honestly say the only time i truly had fun in the campaign was the snowmobile race.

Wonderful. At least they already have dedicated servers cracked for MW2. If they really take off I may just pirate the game and play on the dedicated servers, I'll be damned if I'll buy the game. Just another example of why local hosting stuff sucks. If a 4v4 game like L4D2 can support dedicated servers why the hell can't MW2 lol. Even then I don't know if I could be bothered to even download the game, I've got better things to do right now.

difference is, sports fans get excited when EA reskin a few models, give them different stats, and say they're new football players. COD fans get excited when IW reskin a few models, give them different stats, and say they're new guns.

Its the same freaking game as the last one.

Not saying the last one wasnt good, but MW2 is not leading the field in innovation, and expect to see they COD brand completely burned out by the end of next year.

I'm terribly sorry that people have something called a "different opinion". Not to mention we have our rights to bitterly complain. You're on the console version, how the hell am I supposed to even expect you to see where our complaints are coming from?

 

There's a reason: Because 99% of you guys on the consoles never had dedicated servers, and didn't have a decent community that was enjoyable. There are very few decent people on Xbox Live, and that's about as nice as it's going to get. Unless you even know what's been taken away, don't complain about our complaints, at all. Hell, it's not even the lack of dedicated servers that's bothering me, it's the lack of a community, that's been torn apart due to IWnet.

This is not an argument because everybody just plays with their friends. That said, IW have disabled party chat in certain game modes, such as S&D, to stop cheating. What I don't undersatnd is why its been taken out of modes like demolition and TDM.

 

To whoever was on about having Harriers/Pave Low/Chopper Gunner, I tried this the other day and got in the Pave Low, but I had to get the last 2 kills for Chopper Gunner myself even though the Pave Low got at least 4 more kills before i got the extra 2.

I don't know what you guys are arguing about. This is my first COD since the first one to play and I thought the storyline was fairly exhilirating and the online play is fairly fun. Sure I die alot, but I do a lot of good for my team (KD ratios are for sillies!).

I personally like having a Predator/Harrier/Chopper Gunner combo as it is much easier to obtain.

Does it really take that long? I know updates are slower than on the 360, but its never taken me more than about half an hour for an update.
