He is probably somewhere in the Pakistani (correct term) tribal regions, where he will be almost untouchable as many of the tribal regions haven't been successfully ruled since the time of Alexander the Great. I've heard the diabetic rumours before as well but even if it is true, insulin isn't too difficult to get hold of anyway as it isn't something that you can get high of or addicted to (so it isn't as strictly monitored as things like morphine).
