InvertedWarp
I'm confused by the generally common post of wanting quest lines finished. Honestly, most of the storyline the quests isn't progressed enough for a good finish. Nowadays it seems like 'continuation' has been replaced by 'finishing' in general speculation. A good example is one about the new DD. I've seen many say that "it's good to see them finishing another series", or something like that, when it is rather obvious that this next quest won't be the end and the end won't be anytime soon either. The Plague Series deserves a finish sooner rather than later, but I don't think it currently has a set up for a good finish. There's so many ideas all over in the series, I think it needs at least one more quest before the finale. The same goes for the Myreque, Gnomes, and pretty much all other. The only except is Fairy Tales,as being a trilogy the next quest will be the last. So, can anyone explain to me why completion has become o popular suddenly
Da_Latios
I don't want them to finish. I want them to continue. Hell, if they never finished but had 20 quests in the series I'd be happy. Makoto_the_Phoenix
If they don't finish quest lines, I'll have old storylines to follow. If they do finish quest lines, I'll have new storylines to follow. Doesn't bother me either way. :D Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago. Kimberly
Finishing doesn't have to mean ending with 1 quest tbh. I think that's why a few people had a problem with the ending to the Dorgeshuun quest.
Lets_3ekout
Everyone loves a grande finale. Better story, better fun, better rewards. This year there will (and has) been a lack of new content due to their new policy (I'm not saying it's a bad thing) so I'm sure Jagex want to make sure the content that DOES come out is enjoyed and considered to "make up" for long periods of no new content. stonewall337
Finishing is needed. You don't read a book series which will never end sometime, to my knowledge. But I would like new quest lines too. acenator
I don't think it's so much that people want them finished, but that people would rather have Jagex continue the old storylines that have been around for years and have been speculated to death rather than start new ones. Saying you want Jagex to finish the stories, the way I see it, is the best way to promote this as it is likely to at least push Jagex into compromising on the issue and meeting everyone half-way. In this case, "half-way" means continuing these old story lines and, as such, people get what they wanted. It's kind of like how interest groups work in real life: the moderates of a group generally don't care enough to get involved, so the more radical people push for what they want, find they can't get it, and compromise so that they at least get something. That's my theory, anyway. > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
Bladewing
None of the quests I've played have any reasonably interesting or unique storylines. So I don't care in that sense. I feel like the finishing quests for series would be higher level quests, and I would like to see more end-game content added. RawRR
Why not finish them? Say you are playing Grand Theft Auto IV and you have one more mission in a series. Would you just stop playing? I think not. Some of these quests should end right away but some should not. But look on the brighter side, a new quest in the Drawf Series is coming out :D
SwreeTak
They should finish them by the same reason that everything else in the world ends; Because nothing can go on forever. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

AndyPandy
If they finish too many quest lines....then there will be endless speculation that RS is ending or they are going to let it die... Or they just start a new storyline....? Or two. Or forty. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Your Grandpa
I agree, as much as I want some quest series wrapped up, they should make the finishes worthwhile, rather than hastily throwing out the end to a quest they started many years ago. Hippodo
I think most people don't necessarily mean that a storyline should end if they want it finished, they just want a progression. I would like to see the Elves storyline finished, but rather after four more epic quests than only one. Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers). Unknown_Warrior
I don't want them to rush things, but I'd like they'd hurry the hell up. Lately, the trend seems that there must be at least one year or more (far more) for them to take another step in a quest series. And after a while, people will generally just stop caring if they do. No one likes a mystery upon mystery upon mystery upon more mystery with no development for 5+ years. It's the reason I never got past season two of Lost. Peronix
I don't mind if they continue a storyline, as long as they reveal some interesting things about the plot regularly. A quest that leaves you with more questions than answers isn't that good, especially when the unanswered questions start to pile up as the story goes along. It's why I've all but lost interest in that "Misfile" comic I used to read. Nothing interesting ever seems to happen anymore. :|

Randox
What I would like is an ending, but without a finalie. I am thinking of the Belgariad and Malorean book series. Easily my favorite books. Both series are 5 books each (and no small read each), and both series are the same story. Every book has a climax and a resolution and all that jazz, but they don't conclude the overall story at the end, only the piece of the story that book covered (each series is a single story in five pieces). Then, when the first series ends, the seond series picks up a continuation of the story a few years after the first ends. There not both one huge story per se, but they are the same charects and universe, and the grand overal plot is actualy just a continuation. The resolution of the second series in the resolution of part of the story/plot that was introduced in the first book of the first series. The way its done, you could only read teh Belgariad and think the story over, and the second series is a 'wait a minute, theres more'. You thought it was over, but it was just the begining. Anyways thats the way to do the quests. Each quest is a piece of a single story. Eventualy, you need to conclude this because when people never get answers they can become frustrated. But, you could always end the story, and make the ending satisfactory, answer the questions. Then, you can do another quest line, thats basicly a 'something happened and now theres more to do'. Maybe you stop Zamoraks attempt to get back into Gielinor. Then you introduce another series where zammys trying to get in another way. You end the story, but theres always the possibility of more. Actualy teh goblin series could be that way eventualy if they wanted.
