Now hearing it just reminds me how annoying rickrolls are. Just because someone remixes it I don't care - as long as that in itself doesn't become a spinoff meme. You're working on the assumption that popularity = quality. I'm basing my opinion on my own feeling that the song has very cheesy lyrics, I hate the whole Stock Aitken Waterman sound (they are to music what McDonalds is to fine dining) the backing track and the production is just generally naff (listen to that horrible drum beat). Is that enough for you? This remake sucks up all that and replaces it with typical Disney pop thats even more annoying.
