aquariusman
I go for runs every so often, and never actually time myself. So far all I have is from a test in gym, which I ended up running 2400m in 9 minutes. The test was running 2800m (Seven laps of our track), and once I started lap 7 and realized I had 3 minutes to go, I decided to save my energy for my rugby practice. So I managed to run what ended up being just about a 6 minute mile. For a very relaxed pace, would this be considered good? I felt like I could have kept up that pace for at least another half hour, and probably could've stepped up the speed too. I'll try to get a timed run for a 5 mile run around the track soon, cause I've always wondered how good of a runner I am. I should mention I'm 16, 6'3" and 190lbs. So 1.5 mile in 9 minutes, is that any good? There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. sithlord_man
Did a 2.5 mile run for Cross country and I ran 20:53. Then again, we're all out of shape somewhat...and it was after a hard work out on the track...Probably could have cut a minute off of it. 99 FM Acheived on Friday December 26th 2008Click for my blog|Mass Effect Discussion Thread|Nation Creation/Create your own Country Forums

Ouchy
Well, I just got into running, as I am going to take up rowing, and need to get uber fit. Started light on Monday and Tuesday, running 3 ks, then told in the afternoon on Tuesday I now have to run with the team I am hoping to get into on Thursday (today). I ran 10k's this morning. [cabbage] I am out of it, but I did pretty well. Quite hilly too... Least I know what I can do... So now I'm going to run 5 ks on normal days, then do that on Tuesday and Thursday when I run with them. Yay. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
Georgelemmons
Had my second meet today. It was a 5k; my 3 mile was 17:35 (a new pr) and I finished in 18:05. The fresh-soph team took second place overall, and our varsity owned with 1, 4, 6, 14, and 15th place finishes. Also, I bought a nice pair of adidas [bleep]es yesterday (and got a free t-shirt and bag :) ) Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <

noble_aloof
hey all. sorry i haven't been getting on much. my first real race of the season was a 5k invitational with teams from all over the area invited. i was 96th out of 314 people (all guys, might i add) and my time was 20:02. i did pretty well i also ran a regular schoolastic race last week, i was 27th and my time was in the low 19's. there were easily over 100 guys in this race. unbelievably i was still the 11th runner on our team. competition is very intense. sithlord_man
I had my first cross country race last Thursday. Coach surprises me on the Monday of that week saying your running. Ran a 14:44 for 2.3 Miles with a hill that goes 200-300 meters up that is steep. Could be 400 meters also...couldn't really tell. 99 FM Acheived on Friday December 26th 2008Click for my blog|Mass Effect Discussion Thread|Nation Creation/Create your own Country Forums

noble_aloof
while you guys are talking about [bleep]es, i might as well add that i'm using the nike bowerman blue/black this year and i'm not too happy with them. they were expensive and my socks get completely ruined if there is mud on the course. they're pretty light weight but next year i won't be getting another pair of nikes Staking: 4+ mil Current Status: Training defense

Skull
So I'm coming up with creative ways to not be forced into joining track again by my friends. I'm thinking swim team and volleyball  That relates to running I guess. I've only ran 5 or 6 times since track season ended last year, so I'd probably die if I tried to run more than a 5k right now.
