I'm wondering how people make money from slayer so i can get my slayer up.

I think it's more the other way round. You get slayer up, and after a while (say lvl 80+) it starts being good money.

Oh.. so when u get to like lv 80.. u can hunt for whips.. etc?

you can make money from slayer from either

 

 

 

A. Go to slayer master and ask for task...and collect the loot...repeat when finish...and in the end your slayer level is 99...and you collect all the loots from slayer 1-99 and made lots of cash.

 

 

 

B. Go to slayer master and ask for task...and collect the loot...repeat till the certain level you want (ex. 85 for abyssal demon)...and camp out for good drops

Really, it works like this.

 

 

 

You get your Slayer up, and Slayer makes you money throughout your Slayer career. It's not going to be obvious, and it's not going to be quick, but the cash is definitely there.

Up until level 70 it isn't that great, from level 70-80 I noticed that the average task got me about ~100k, and after 80 I started getting the better tasks which got me the most money. As said before, it's more of a constant income than a sudden increase in money, and it definitely gets better the higher you train Slayer.

as said you make money from the drops.. but you can also make a heap from slayer dart runs when you trade in your slayer points

I'll say this: From 1 to 99 Slayer I have made over 300M gp off slayer drops. This includes slayer specific drops I got OFF task.

 

 

 

Basically, you get level 80+ slayer and you'll start making nice cash. 83+ and evern better, and at 85 Slayer you'll be able to milk it for all it's worth by camping at abyssals.

 

 

 

I didn't camp, though. I camped at dark beasts when bows were 3.7m and got myself 12 of them to pay for 99 prayer. Now, I'd camp at abyssals and the cash will never be as good as those dark bows used to be.

 

 

 

Anyway, just train it. You'll see the cash. Just don't piety or cannon on tasks and you can make crazy amounts of dough all the way to 99.

Slayers on of those skills you do for the joy and variety of it.

 

The drops come as a bonus, well for me at least.

 

Having said that I had a nice kurask task which netted me 2 mystic top, 1 snapdragon, about 80k in alchs and about 50k in misc items (flax, pineapples, runes, bolts, unfinished arrows/bolts and so on) totaling about 300k in one task.

 

Some tasks are extremely profitable (about 20 ranarrs from 1 spec task ftw), others are just tasks as long as you stick with it, attack and defend accordingly pretty much every task will be profitable.

Tbh i would say slayer is profitable at most levels.

 

Many tasks drop clue scrolls

 

Low tasks well you need poor equipment to do them so the drops proberly make you a profit anyway

 

Medium tasks (im gonna say about 50-70) they drop higher level clue scrolls maybe more time but its still a slayer drop and you start to get monsters that drop decent drops like mystic items.

 

 

 

Higher level we all know you make a huge profit with the whips and other drops you can get.

It's so easy to look at everyone whos got loads of whips, d bows, d boots etc. etc. and think "slayer is great for money because of those items!". But really, the income comes from misc drops more than anything else. You make more money than your whip drops with misc stuff (unless you get an abby demon task every second task you get, in which case I hate you for your luck). These sort of drops are herb drops, herb seeds, runes, medium-sized drops (things like rune boots and g mauls) and rune armour/weapons.

 

 

 

High end slayer is like the industrial revoloution of rune full helms. I swear, you get so many of these if you stick with duradel...

clues are good source of a slayer income if you do them efficiently.

 

Good example are spectators which usually benefits 200k+ per task only of clues.

you accumulate the drops you earn from slayer tasks including slayer points which you can use to get rewards.

just be sure to pick up drops like herbs seeds and the occasional wepon/armor

I estimate my earnings at around 200m from slayer

 

 

 

This is not camping any monster, just plain old slaying.

 

 

 

Cash starts getting consistant at around 85 slay, as with whips and boots you can average out your cash then. A visage on the way to 99 can help, but metal tasks arent worth doing really. so maybe you can luck out on a wyvern taks like me, or maybe from kbd/mith dragon

 

 

 

My slayer drop list is in my sig, alot of the money does come from ranarrs, high seeds, rune items, runes, and other things like that.

 

 

 

99 slay covered all my prayer costs, my summon costs and charms. It got me maxed melee, it got me 99 range as I range slayed. I even had enough money left over for 99 mage. But I mainly did it for the cape, the rest is a by-product, a nice one.

 

 

 

Slayer dart runes Earned me alot. Forget how much but I had 10k points when I got 99, and I used points to buy tassets along time ago when I thought tassets were good

With a lvl 78 slayer monster soon its going to be some good money for the first few days as long as you have junk and 78 slayer.

Sometimes when you kill monsters, they drop stuff

 

 

 

and sometimes, those items are worth coins.

I noticed from level 50-55 on you'll get better drops, and therefore more money. :roll:

I notice that if you pick up just the coins, most task you can make an easy 10k. I notice this mainly at Bloodvelds and Greater Demons. If you can alch some thing you might as well do that. Most slayers also do things on the side, i know that when i can i plant seeds and that. If you get a Snapdragon seed on task thats a nice ~40k. If u plant it you can make about 50k+. Same is true for most tasks. I'm at 91 slayer and maybe probably 40m. Would have been more but i got stuck in a bad task loop.

Indeed, just don't waste the drops (that said, no need to pick up every guam leave and steel full helm, but you know what I mean.. fetch coins too, always). ;)
