I know from experience...I got my first kiss/gf sat night at my mates 18th.. im 18 in like 10 days so yeah.. im not the best looking bloke on earth thats for sure, she on the other hand is one of the hottest chicks at my school (she was voted hottest at a formal last year :P), we became friends from playing basketball at lunch and then hanging out after school and then it slowly progressed till we were flirtin for ages then when i worked up the courage *bang* yea i win :)... so dont worry things will work out all good confidence does wonders, you dont gotta be like cocky, just able to say what you want and not let people walk over you, im not saying you gotta fight, just dont let people pwn u... if you understand what i mean.. I know this, of course, because I, myself, have to wear baggy clothes and a fake moustache to stop people from staring for more than 5 min or so. And btw, a little healthy ego never hurt nobody :wink: ...As for glasses, I personally look lousy in glasses. But a hot girl can look even better in glasses, and I've heard girls talking glowingly (is that a word?) about guys in glasses. Glasses do not a nerd make. (is that a sentence?) Naa like one day I was walking around in barnes and noble just looking to buy some book for school when some lady who worked there walked up to me and and asked if i needed help and all that jazz. But then she told me that she was quiting that day and that she was going back to her previous career as a modeling agent.....she then gave me her number and blah blah blah lol in my first post i was trying to find the best balance between showing that I wasn't unattractive but rather that I just didn't want a gf.I also was trying to say that without being cocky. ACT CONFIDENCE, even if its FAKE (and it is fake..) but after a while of making this a habbit it will grow on you and it will no longer become fake. ur looks dont mean anything. dont push it. once I was so shy I would just stutter (sp?) around girls I liked.. someone here said something so true... the more you want a girl, and show her this, the less chance you have of getting her. act normal. anyway the key is in my first paragraph, ACT CONFIDENCE and it'll grow on you. just don't confuse being confident with being cocky, girls dont care much for cockiness.
