If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Cost: 7 iron bars, 2 cow hides, 1 gold bar, 1 bronze bar, losing 2513 gp of value when turned into Uri's leather gloves, coif, iron plate, bronze dagger, iron helm, and gold ring Reward: Black Battle Axe and Amulet of Magic, getting 1500 gp That's just a bit disheartening to not only lose a bit of time (though I personally like doing clues and this level 1 came from my kingdom) but to actually come out with a loss due to Uri, rather than a profit or even some kind of interesting firelighter or something! Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. August 5, 200916 yr Nah clues are good. :thumbup: I do wonder about the aged thing, I can think of three good clue rewards I've had after banking a clue and then finally getting round to it later, Robin Hood a few years back, my first major reward, and today wizzy boots from an aged level two clue.. Hmmm...
August 5, 200916 yr Honestly, if you finish a treasure trail hoping for a big payout, don't expect to get one. The time it really pays off is when you least expect it. Or in my experience that is ;) It is all luck based. So, yes, maybe they should increase your chances of getting a good reward for lvl 3 clue scrolls and such, but essentialy it is down to how lucky you are. My friend has made more off all his lvl 1 clue scrolls then all his lvl 3 ones anyway :P
August 5, 200916 yr I dont really mind if its a good reward or not. Even though I'd like a good reward, I think clue scrolls are fun, but can also be quick and easy. The best reward I got was a zamorak helm. I do wish rewards would be better, but I guess its just luck.

August 13, 200916 yr Author I know you can get good stuff and that most of it is luck, but what I'm trying to say is that because of the big amount of junk which I think has a bigger probability to be a reward (firelighters, flatpacks, food, measly runes, rune dagger, etc) Clue Rewards are barely worth it anymore, in contrast to how it was before all those updates. I have had a Robin Hood Hat as well, I have had Ranger boots as well, I have had God Trimmed armour as well, I have had a Black Cavalier as well, that's just not my point. August 13, 200916 yr In my own mind, through my experiences with treasure trails since they were first introduced, they absolutely have had the amount of rare stuff they give out nerfed to very low levels. Regardless of the junk in it, you get very little compared to 2 years ago. Is there still luck in it? Yes. It is completely random? Hardly. August 13, 200916 yr Clues aren't free millions of gp, they are a fairly common drop, as in I average more than 1 clue per task if the monsters actually drop clues anyway, so of course most of the time the rewards aren't going to be amazing. Clues have been nerfed I think, but then again, there's a lot more items you can get now aside from just god armor. Regardless, I hope less people do clues, maybe it'll help raise the value of clue specific rares
