How2PK
For German movies check out some of Wim Winder's work, or Fassbinder, Herzog & Kinski are good as well. :) And the German pre-30s work is pretty interesting as well. ;) I haven't seen too much German movies though. That might be because of Germany never really had a peek after the thirties. Something like Italy, France or England. How2PK
Yesterday aftenoon I went to a friend and he wanted to see Heat which I had seen not too long ago. But I'm a good friend so we watched it. And it was still pretty good. After that I moved on to Killer's Kiss and it was fun to see a young Kubrick at work, there are some moments of greatness but overall it's still pretty average. Then I saw A Countess from Hong Kong which is Chaplin's last movie. And it isn't very good, neither is it very bad. Sophia Loren super good looking as usual and Brando puts up a nice character, although he isn't really a 'funny man' and had some conflicts with Chaplin. After that I saw the first hour of Peeping Tom which was very promosing, but I was tired so I watch the rest of it later. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand. Yes, Yes, Yes! I almost bursted out in tears when I saw it. I'm going to see OTTO E MEZZO (one of my favorite movies) in theater the 23th of January!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! apinagez
These vacations I'm going to do the same think rick did: get one free afternoon and rent a movie and all it's sequels. It'll be a day dedicated to The Godfather, another to Kill Bill, another to Rocky, one for Star Wars and so on. :D ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me

indy500fan
Babylon 5: In the Beginning - Takes place before the Babylon 5 series, but I wouldn't watch it till after watching the series, or at least up until after season 4. It was decent, and summed up a lot that we have seen throughout the series. Babylon 5: Thirdspace - Basically just a long episode. Nothing special. Babylon 5: River of Souls - Basically just a long episode, but it sucked worse. Babylon 5: A Call to Arms - Basically just a long episode, better than the last movie but still not quite as good as the series. Redeeming factor was the end. Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight - A crime against humanity. Or at least against anyone who likes Babylon 5. I still have a 13 episode spin off series to go through, and then I'll be done with the Babylon 5 Universe.

Faux
I'm here in the religion dept. of my school right now. Just finished watching Saved! and it was pretty entertaining. Not one of the finest movies ever made, but it was entertaining to watch as a Christian. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

Oy_the_Great
Watched Hable con Ella yesterday night. It was even better than I had expected. What a painfully beautiful film. Dzfunk64
The last movie I watched is The World Is Not Enough. think the last one i saw was Hotel Rwanda and before that Donnie Darko both are really good I just saw Hotel Rwanda in my Global Geography class. We watched it because we're learning about the genocide that happened there. It is a very good movie, one of my favorites.
runemetsa
Abre los ojos - Yes, this is the original vanilla sky. A very popular and good-looking man gets into his jealous lover's suicide drive, and his face gets ruined. Quite paranoid movie, but good anyways. I prefer this over Vanilla Sky. Poseidon - Lame and unrealistic. This didn't manage to capture the feeling of massive catasthrope as well as -for example- the day after tommorow. Richard Dreyfuss did a very good job on this movie, tho. Evolution - Even when this is older movie than poseidon, the special effects on this movie impressed me more. I've seen this three times, and it's quite a mediocre movie. Quite funny, quite good acting, quite good storyline, but this could have been alot better. topham
i saw Tenacious D: The Pick Of Destiny earlier. i thought it was great. it made me laff a lot. it didnt seem liked it dragged on or anything, i thought it was entertaining, all the music was great throughout, i like tenacious d so it helped a lot towards liking the film, a lot of swearing in it, although that can be expected from JB and KG. i like the way the film starts aswell. the mini version of jack actually made me wet myself i thought it was that funny... however, deciding how funny it is for you is upto yourselves, all i can say is that i recommend it. -Destroy Topham-

apinagez
Kill Bill vol. 1 and vol. 2. Not much more to be said about these movies. Except maybe that they get even better when watched in sequence. :D ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me
indy500fan
Kill Bill vol. 1 and vol. 2. Not much more to be said about these movies. Except maybe that they get even better when watched in sequence. :D If you look in the "right places" on the net you will find a version called Kill Bill X, which is volumes 1 and 2 combined with all the scenes in chronological order. I think that would be a pretty cool way to watch it. EDIT: No new posts so I will just edit it in. "Crusade" - The last of the Babylon 5 universe that there was. One thing is for certain, they definitely did not save the best for last. More like they used up everything and this was what was left over. Babylon 5 didn't start out all that good, but I could tell it was getting better. This series didn't start out all that good, and had no chance of getting better. Only thirteen episodes, it was canceled and just kind of ended. I didn't care at all that nothing was resolved. I mean, I would have like to see an ending, but not at the expense of having to watch one more second of it. Lord of War - I know a lot of you don't like Nicolas Cage, but I don't mind him. I actually thought he did pretty good in this part. I liked it as much as the first time I saw it. Fast Times at Ridhemont High and Dazed and Confused - They really don't have anything in common except for the genre, the high school comedy genre. I just watched them at the same time the first time, and the same time this time because it seemed like they belong together. Anyways, I guess they are some of the "classic" high school movies, and I can see why. It is just that when I want to watch a movie like this, I don't care how good it is, I just want comedy going straight to my brain. These do have funny parts, so they are OK in my books. Mercifull
I watched The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957) last night before bed. It was actually pretty good. The lack of dialogue im fine with but i didnt really like the annoying music, i guess directors didnt really worry about music in film as much as they do now (unless you are uwe boll in which case anything goes no matter how crap or out of place) Unfortunatly i see by looking on the imdb that this film is going to be remade :( GET FROM FRESH IDEAS HOLLYWOOD!!! indy500fan
Accepted and American Pie 5: The Naked Mile - Once again listing two movies together because I feel pretty much the same about them. Generic teen movies, entertaining but that is about it. Clerks II - What can I say, I love Kevin Smith movies. I liked it just as much this time as I did the first time. Hilarious movie. How2PK
Morte a Venezia (Death in Venice - 1971 - Luchino Visconti) Hmm, how I enjoy that damn Visconti. And for that, Death in Venice is a pleasure to watch. It's a typical Visconti, especially in cinematography and art-direction. Very warm use of colours, and slow zooms. Each set is so over decorated and has got such strange combinations (especially with the colours) that it's brilliant. Not to mention that it so cleverly displays the critique the main character has with the bourgeoisie (at least, that's how it seemed to me). The music is brilliantly chosen (I never really knew much about Mahler, but that third and fifth symphony are, well, brilliant. Deff. gonna look into that more, and I got his biopic today), and Bogarde is playing a great role. Favorite scenes, are the opening when Bogarde is on his way to the hotel, what a mystery and tension. Arrival at the hotel; thanks to the great cinematography you feel you're experiencing the entire scene as you just got somewhere after a long journey; put your stuff on the bed, open the windows, and have a good breath of fresh air. How did I enjoy that scene! And the scene with Tadzio and Aschenbach in the elevator, what tension thanks to the great editing and especially acting by Bogarde. And then there's that sad ending scene. I guess the movie is a bit slow to most by it's observing camera and 'lack' (I don't see it as a lack, but I don't know any other word for it:P) of dialogue, but if you got some patience and/or you're into Visconti, or you read the book and you're curious to how the movie worked out you should deff. pick this up and see it. :) Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! indy500fan
Beerfest - If you look at the name and know that is from the same people who brought you Super Troopers, you can pretty much guess what it is going to be like. It was funny, and since it's a comedy that is good. Some people will like it, some people wont.
Ultralord
casino royale, 2 weekends ago i believe it was pretty good, i liked the fact that they didn't use all these weird gadgets and such. at parts it was boring like the poker game they have that lasts like a month. but all in all i thought it was a very good movie. http://www.keepingongaming.com/boards -- Sign Up
