Being 1 xp away from it isn't the same as getting it. Sure, he could get it whenever he wants to, but he didn't get 5B xp yet, he got 4,999,999,999. Him choosing not to get it for whatever reason, doesn't mean you can ignore that last xp point. It's almost negligible for sure, but only almost.

 

If you're 1 xp away from level 99, you're still level 98.

 

It's a completely symbolic achievement. He is close enough that 1 experience truly is negligible. As for your analogy, it is ill-suited for this context. Suomi is way past the realm of levels (he is 2,496 total now, and he will be 2,496 total after 5B), there's nothing that he can do at 5B xp that he can't do at 4.99B xp. The achievement was a symbolic and informal achievement as opposed to an official one. From the viewpoint of the game, he is no better than a maxed account with 500M xp. The point was can someone in the game truly no-life it to the tune of getting the maximum experience in the game -- Suomi has essentially done that minus the 3 seconds that it would take for him to get the last experience point; for most people, that is good enough.The last experience really is negligible.

 

As for Suomi, my personal view is that by the time any one of the front-runners actually come close to narrowing th gap (currently they are all off by hundreds of millions of experience points away, they're not even close), Suomi will probaby log on and get the last point just to cement his name on the highscores. He will not allow himself to be defeated.

Cement it on there until new skills are released :P Then he can have most xp and as long as people have higher levels it won't matter. Ah the never ending cycle.

There are rumors about frost bots which may not be true but what is true that he multi-logs at runespan on 2 referred accounts, multi-logs on an avatar account when he's doing familiar skills such as Hunter, he also gave people drygores and an account to KK with in return of profit cuts.
