Low Levelled
I'd never consider dropping to be difficult. LolPerhaps your name corresponds to your experience with skills involving dropping, but anyone who has dropped to 99+ mining knows that even with mousekeys, dropping is hard. Rapid bursts of keyboard/mouse activity to drop without time waste is difficult, and then having to consistently reclick on rock. Let's compare:[spoiler=EOC]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVFs11YnIl4 [spoiler=Pre-EOC]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsYJn3UHNUA The EOC one even looks less intensive despite being sped up at least 2-3x. Yeah no I still don't consider dropping to ever have been difficult

It should be noted that the xp/hour of mining gold ore didn't change at all with the release of EOC. The only increase in xp/hour in the last few years is from the quickhop update.
Bxpprod
Yes, quite easily can get 200m mining in 11 years, should def go for it :P With warbands, 99-200m is 514 days, assuming 75/75 mining resources and current rates. Who needs "Mining"It is approximately 570 from 0xp-200mxp. Lets flood the highscores with Warband only accounts! The only increase in xp/hour in the last few years is from the quickhop update.Yes the potential XP/hr remained the same, the realistic XP/hr on the other hand definitely increased, and it also became obtainable to a different type of player. </generally way off-topic posts, from me at least> On a side note I think we should reach a formal definition of the difference between more convenient, and easier. It keeps showing itself, here, EoC threads in general, and especially on the 07 forums. So far I've gleaned that if it's an update you'll use, you can call it convenient, and if you'll not use it, or use it begrudgingly, you can call it easier. There also seems to be a generally appreciated mutual exclusivity between the two terms, for which I can't find a basis.

Ammako
The reason why Zezima will remain #1 to me?Because, for him, to get a skill to 99, it was "Pick a skill you want to do, then stick to it, persevere until you are at 99." Once he realized that the game was getting progressively easier over time, instead of complaining about it and quitting, he simply stopped playing competitively and started playing for his own enjoyment, sticking to whatever skill he was training (summoning at the time) until he reached max level.

Thanks for sharing your PERSONAL opinion. Well, he was asking people to explain their PERSONAL opinions regarding a PERSONAL question, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. You're welcome, I guess??

Quyneax
Zezima was pretty efficient as that went at the time, wasn't he? But I might be wrong, I don't know his methods. 1 Supporter of Zaros | Quest Cape owner since 22 may 2010 | No skills below 99 | Total level 2595 | Completionist Cape owner since 17th June 2013 | Suggestions 99 summoning (18th June 2011, previously untrimmed) | 99 farming (14th July 2011) | 99 prayer (8th September 2011) | 99 constitution (10th September 2011) | 99 dungeoneering (15th November 2011) 99 ranged (28th November 2011) | 99 attack, 99 defence, 99 strength (11th December 2011) | 99 slayer (18th December 2011) | 99 magic (22nd December 2011) | 99 construction (16th March 2012) 99 herblore (22nd March 2012) | 99 firemaking (26th March 2012) | 99 cooking (2nd July 2012) | 99 runecrafting (12th March 2012) | 99 crafting (26th August 2012) | 99 agility (19th November 2012) 99 woodcutting (22nd November 2012) | 99 fletching (31st December 2012) | 99 thieving (3rd January 2013) | 99 hunter (11th January 2013) | 99 mining (21st January 2013) | 99 fishing (21st January 2013) 99 smithing (21st January 2013) | 120 dungeoneering (17th June 2013) | 99 divination (24th November 2013) Tormented demon drops: twenty effigies, nine pairs of claws, two dragon armour slices and one elite clue | Dagannoth king drops: two dragon hatchets, two elite clues, one archer ring and one warrior ring Glacor drops: four pairs of ragefire boots, one pair of steadfast boots, six effigies, two hundred lots of Armadyl shards, three elite clues | Nex split: Torva boots | Kalphite King split: off-hand drygore mace 30/30 Shattered Heart statues completed | 16/16 Court Cases completed | 25/25 Choc Chimp Ices delivered | 500/500 Vyrewatch burned | 584/584 tasks completed | 4000/4000 chompies hunted

Epilef
He was the first player to get 99 slayer, he no lifed it so hard. And back then dragon scimitar used to be the best weapon, until people started to get whips. He could also be talking about the look.

He could also be talking about the look.Interestingly, if RS wiki has accurate information - slayer came out 26th Jan 2005, 99 slayer was achieved by Zezima on 9th July 2005. That is ~165 days to achieve it. 07scape was released on 22nd Feb 2013, 99 slayer there was achieved by Razzeh on 23rd April 2013. That is ~62 days to achieve it. Updates missing when Zezima got it - black mask, piety, fairy rings, agility shortcuts, rfd gloves, houses, ancient mage (it came out ~3 months after slayer), lunar mage, defenders, barrows gear (it came in about 4 months after slayer), list goes on.. To counterbalance this, on 07 of course it was starting from a level 3, bankwiped account. We leave it to the reader to come to their own conclusions on this. What always stood out to me was the cleanliness of Zezima's name, (not meaning phonetically or anything, although it is a cool name, and he would have been less memorable as ajwkz1118a...) Merely that bad rumours never really stuck to him.
Ammako
I recall Zezima saying that he just randomly happened to be the first to get to 99 Slayer. Just a stroke of luck, basically. I could be wrong though.

Gemeos2
Wake up people... There was an un-nerf of effigies... This is as old as GW update. Even though they didn't include it on news or patch notes, I thought it was commonly known by now.
