jimv
Hello. Well the new ping feature on the world select page is working now, at least it does for me. With what it shows however, it would seem that Jagex always saying to try the world closest to you is not necessarily the best thing to do. I am posting screen shots of all the members world ping readings. The time shown on the bottom right corner of the screenshots is Eastern Stardard Time U.S. At the time these were taken it is pretty much the slowest time (and the best time) to play Runescape. Slowest referring to amount of people playing. I live in Michigan in the U.S. and as you can see, the Michigan world is about halfway down the list going from lowest ping to highest. For those not familiar with what a ping is, it is a measure of the time it takes for a signal to go from one computer/server to another. The lower the time the better. InkofDeath
There's more than just ping calculated into why the world would be 'best' for you. My lowest ping is 69 on a Washington server. And I'm Canadian, an live in Ontario. Fail Jagex fail. On the Canadian servers I have 85 and 101.

bored321
The ping don't seem to mean much to me, I have the lowest ping to UK servers around 20-40 (I'm UK btw) yet they are the laggiest servers of them all. :wall: My home world (w27) has a ping of 189 but its the smoothest server I have used nor ever had any major lag in the last 3 years playing on it. Thanks Gradeskip93 for my awesome sig!
