I'm having a hard time deciding between IPB and phpbb. I really like the fact that phpbb is open source. I also found it to run slightly faster (at least on tip.it) although there's no denying the overall appearance and extra features make IPB a great option as well.

So far the old one.

I'm liking IPB. I'm already playing around with all the functions.

We look like RSC now but can't code like RSC? I hope we can get a new skin and hopefully codes with paragraphs etc :P

I thought the admins stated this would look different than other fansites... This looks exactly like Runescape Community forums at zybez. And they had their forums upgraded about a week ago.

I'm liking it so far, a bit more choice in skins would be good and it's going to take a while to get used to, but I'm liking it :)

Can't really say at the moment. Can't just say I don't like IPB just because I'm not used to using it. Ask me in a couple of months.

I can't tell them apart. The old TIF was in PHPBB right? This is IPB and I dunno what vBulletin is.

So far PHPBB because I'm more used to it but IPB will probably grow on me with more use.

I do think this better through I would like the old forum coloring through white background makes everything harder to see.

I'm liking this new forum, so much more inviting. Some looks really odd due to their size and the width of columns, but I'm sure things will be tweaked as time goes on.

Nice to see Mr. Green is still around too

PHPBB no Amount of unnecessary features can make up for the hideous look of IPB. Though I'll give it a chance once someone gets around to making a theme that doesn't look like little billies first clan site.

When the admins first mentioned switching to IPB, we would have looked different from RSC since they HADN'T upgraded. But because they upgraded while we were converting (which takes longer), now we do look the same.

Anyway as for the actual question, I cannot deny that the IPB features are much better and generally more advanced than phpBB. Because I'm used to phpBB though, this doesn't quite feel like "home" yet. Give me a few weeks and I'm sure I'll say IPB without missing a beat :P

vBulletin, with a slight possibility of IPB. Any other choice is just raw ignorance based on familiarity.

BlazeBoard. very familiar and easy to use... but its outdated nowadays...

Nice to see the old smileys can still be used, was thinking they would be gone. Then I would be sad.

Yea...this looks to clean and detached, inhuman, unwelcoming...doesn't have that "homey" feel the old forums did.

I'll probably get used to it though.Just as I got used to Jagex's crap updates

But you can't make the text tiny.

VBulletin is so much easier to use. It is pretty self-explanatory and very easy to manage...

Frankly, I don't give a damn.
