July 7, 201114 yr I'm really glad the Habs got Cole from the Canes. He was pretty much the only guy on that team who could kill the Habs (and he did, over and over again)... the dude gets so much "je ne sais-quoi" when he plays in the Bell Center and now that it's his home stage, he might produce some 30 goal seasons :thumbsup:

Unless Emery's attitude has changed, he isn't a good addition to the locker room.Word out of anaheim this time around was that he was a great locker room presence and a very hard worker. Much more talented than conklin as well.So he HAS changed his attitude, then. As long as he doesn't change back, I guess he would be the better option.

September 7, 201114 yr Author I just can't get it out of my head... All those families missing their loved ones now... I just can't imagine it. I dunno why, but the one that hits me the hardest is Ruslan; I saw him on the ice last season, heard them welcome his new son... And now his son won't know about his dad, really. September 9, 201114 yr I couldn't believe it when Wade was found dead and I am absolutely speechless at this latest incident. This is probably the worst summer in hockey history. I am so sad about the events that have occurred so far. So many of these guys I have grew up watching. I am honestly just waiting for the season top start so we can put this bad news behind us because it seems that lately there is nothing to discuss in hockey except the deaths that have occurred thus far.
September 12, 201114 yr There was a prospect tournament in Penticton tonight, EDM vs VAN. We won 7-2 :shades: Anyways, it's just nice to see some hockey again, especially after this awful summer :sad: I can't wait until the real reason starts.

September 15, 201114 yr A lot of RFA signings with the start of training camp not far off. So far Marchand, Tavares and Bogosian have all signed. Reports say that Schenn is close and Doughty may follow. Turris is holding out on the Coyotes apparently.

I like the money marchand and bogo got, makes sense. Schenn will probably be soon but doughty and lombardi really seem to be on completely different pages - I wouldn't be surprised to see that lag a while. Turris doesn't even want to play for Phoenix imo, he's asking for ridiculous money. Then again, you can't blame him, with that god-awful contract philly gave JVR.
