Will H
I have always thought of this world as a transition instead of a start or a finish. I was somewhere else before I was born, and will go somewhere else when I die. What I do in this world may or may not be important to other worlds, just that I live in it and interact with others to, in a word, experience. The nature of the so-called 'afterlife' doesn't matter for any of us who aren't planning to die any time soon. It's like asking "What happens if you go into a black hole?" All we can say are wild guesses until you actually try it, and you won't be able to see any more funky things that happen in the world afterwards, or tell you guys what's in there. I hope it's a utopia, a.k.a. heaven, but it's only a hope, but I'm cool with that. I'll find out soon enough anyway. EDIT: Feel free to come up with inventive ways to launch people into black holes. ~ W ~
deathdrow
I believe that you are reborn with no memory of a previous life. You are reborn into anything and is randomised. (Anything living; from a single cell orgasm to a tiger.) I also believe that there is a specific DNA chain linked to each person indicating that the person is you rather than someone else (meaning your conciousness). What I want to happen? An afterlife where I am able to see my loved ones, and be able to make friends again in a nice peaceful atmosphere.looooool. I think when you die nothing happens. The_Mather1
single cell orgasmEpic! EDIT: Dammit, Deathrow, I thought I was the first to notice. 1. I believe we are reborn after a week(remember some die and come back(cardiac arrest/drowning)). 2. I'd choose to ascend, like in StarGate, how fun wouldn't it be to be somewhat like a god? stonewall337
I agree with what one person said about Christianity, and its beliefs about the afterlife. I don't remember it verbatim, and can not find the quote, but it went someone like this. "If you are a Christian, and at the end of your life you find out you were right, then you go into heaven. If you find out you were wrong, and there is no afterlife, then you would have lived a better life, since you will have had an objective guidebook to determine right from wrong, and you will have lived a life which will benefit others." However, my motto is also "Challenge the establishment", so to what extent I follow what others say is a whole different matter. indy500fan
2. I'd choose to ascend, like in StarGate, how fun wouldn't it be to be somewhat like a god? Not really sure. We don't know exactly what goes on in that higher plane but if you screw with this one while ascended then they throw you back out  . bedman
For me it is very simple. You die, it's over. We are just animals, you know. Why would an ant die, and just be gone, and if we die, there's suddenly this special place called heaven. We are a bunch of cells clumped together, that stop working after a certain time. Then it's over. We get put underground, micro-organisms consume us, and we serve as nice compost. And let's just assume for a minute heaven exists. You arrive there at the age you died, and stay that age forever? Man, then it must suck to die as a baby or a disabled old man. You come there in the state you died? Man it must suck to die in a car accident. Also, it must be pretty damn full over there if every single person that dies goes to some afterlife place. Also, what the hell (lol?) do you do there for eternity. Must be pretty boring. So yeah, IMO heaving and whatever other afterlife is just invented because people can't accept it's over. Zierro
Why not? Why must there be a reason for everything? I don't believe that we have any purpose or reason to exist. We simply are, and shall continue to be until we die, and then we are not. This is something I've been thinking about lately. Asking what the meaning of life is is like asking what the meaning of the number 8 is.

Nenga
1: What do you think happens? We cease conciseness. After that we have no thoughts, no memories, no dreams, etc. 2: If you could have anything happen, what would it be? I'd like sort of like a life sandbox. You get to live through your life again, relieve any moment in your life you want, make any changes you want, even relive your life exactly how it was with no knowledge you were dead. To sum it up, a deeper and improved form of reincarnation. Ponies!

Shyla
1. I'd like to believe there's an afterlife since eternal nothingness just sounds so woeful.2. jemathonical
It's certainly an interesting question that all humans think about. I have been thinking about it all a fair bit lately with the death of a mate. I used to always think that it was just nothing, the same nothingness like before we were born. But since I've had a chance to think it over I think that our 'spirits/souls' hang around and look over our loved ones, those who think about you. I remember a few years back when Kerry Packer died, they showed an interview of him after his lifesaving transplant. He was technically dead for a few minutes and was revived through his mate giving him an organ, forget which one. Anyway, in the interview he said that he had been over the 'other side', and there was nothing. Nothing. Then I remember that someone said that when you leave with nothing, no hope, you will experience nothing. Or something along those lines. So I'm giving myself every chance of 'living on' so to speak. Always holding a belief that there are things after death. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
Natures_Idol
I don't believe in any sort of afterlife, but I'm not sure whether to believe in some sort of 'dream' state. Basically, I've got no idea and it confuses me to think about what you'd see/feel when you're dead. Lenin64
I would love to be able to play a game against Death for my soul, but if I win I become Death. The game I have in mind would be so irritating he would either concede defeat after about 3 hours, or he'd get angry and take my soul after 5 minutes. But as long as the rules are clearly set, there's really no way for me to lose. That would be totally awesome, to be Death himself. But I don't think that happens, obviously. Death is just the end of everything. Command the Murderous Chalices! Drink ye harpooners! drink and swear, ye men that man the deathful whaleboat's bow- Death to Moby Dick!BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! Dupin
1: What do you think happens?Nothing happens. You are buried, decompose, and become great soil for plants. 2: If you could have anything happen, what would it be?I would be reincarnated immediately as an immortal, all-powerful me, in the same body. The only difference: I would have super powers. Also, I could turn invisible and haunt people. So basically continue living, but with a few improvements. EDIT: Actually, to #1, I think it's important to mention that when you are dead, you become a memory. What you did in your life makes the memory last. Everkenezer
you cant have life after death or else it wouldnt be death. so, when we die, we wont know we died. it is something we just can not accept. call me crazy, but id kind of like to see my death. id personally like to meet a few dead people, and roam around freely as a ghost. 99 Fishing
