WolfieMario
Now, when you're doing something boring, like ess mining or fishing, odds are you like to switch to a different window/tab to do something else, such as read forum posts or watch a video. Of course, you still have to switch back to pay attention to randoms, friends logging in, people talking, your inventory filling, etc. Well, I found this program which can make your windows partially transparent (to any amount you want), and I tried using it to make multitasking even easier. Here's me mining essence and making a font, for example:Basically, I made the Firefox window transparent, and saw when my inventory filled or a friend spoke, so I only switched back when I had to.The same principle can be applied to multitasking while powermining or any similarly boring yet click-heavy activity: Make the RS window transparent, and read/watch stuff from another window under it as you click. There's a few other things I find this program useful for too, such as helping you get a screenshot at exactly the same camera angle as someone else's shot. And then there's also a plethora of non-RS things you can use if for too, but I don't want to stray off topic much :PYou can download the program here:http://www.vaultmate.com/freewaregifts.phpIt's the "Widows Alpha Blender 1.2" (spell fail :P), and, once it's installed, you can use its shortcuts (Ctrl+F11 to decrease transparency, Ctrl+F12 to increase it) whenever it is open. You can also customize the shortcuts and set it to turn on automatically when you turn your computer on. Note that each window's transparency changes separately, so you can have some transparent and others solid, in whatever combo you like :P Fake Awards:(The large number is the amount of awards I have gotten; only 8 are shown above. testingsomestuff123
That's handy. I probably won't use it. :/
la la la
Wow, that would be really useful to have when I have to train the boring skills like fishing and woodcutting. This may belong in the off-topic: tech and computers section though.

Dax
I have two monitors for my multitasking, i'd probably give it a go if I didn't. ;-) #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod

BiJay
Two monitors here, too. When I only had one monitor I still had enough place to have two windows side by side (or also one upon another). I found this transparent thing with another program before but I don't remember which one, maybe it even was a firefox add-on. [404] Signature not found. Kekek
Have tried it but didn't really like it. I use setup where RS-client takes 1/4 of screen, IRC another 1/4 and Firefox 1/2.
C110
Looks oke, but not needed for me. I fit all my multi task thingies (Msn, irc, rs + movie) in 1 screen. - I'm not proud of everything I've done, but I have no regrets
@Dan3HitU
An old RS client of mine had that feature built in, not a bad way to multi-task :) [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]
Krampell
Wow, that's really nice. Might try it sometime when I'm on a afk-able slayer task like dark beasts.
Will H
Sounds nice, but I have 3x 19" screens, so it's not for me. Multitasking is becoming more and more widely used, but I think getting additional monitors is by far the best way to do it. ~ W ~

Riqualyn
The Split browser add on for Firefox is nice for multitasking too. Putting things side by side, especially if they're different sized windows, can be a pain and it lets you put tabs side-by-side in the same window. It's great for having video or such on the side of the screen.
Hurmyie
i simply split my screen, i have a 37 inch so i can do both things and dont need to swap :P still nice found. WolfieMario
You can probably find it on the Firefox Addons page. It looks pretty handy. Thanks for the info! :thumbup:Actually, it's a program to make entire windows transparent, not an add-on :P. I'm using the RS desktop client and Firefox separately, with Firefox being transparent. But it lets you make anything transparent, even Word or Photoshop :P as daxter said its much easier just to have dual screens.i got dual 24's here tbh but a part from that it would help a lot of people who use laptop's me i can't stand laptop's but yea ^.^ people with laptops and non dual screens would help awesome find =)Yeah, I'm currently on a laptop (at least until my dad gives me his desktop; I think he's getting himself a new one for X-mas), so it does help  Fake Awards:(The large number is the amount of awards I have gotten; only 8 are shown above.
