$25 isn't a high price, how much does a fake tree cost?

Our tree cost a lot more than $25 D:

Hmm, I guess it depends on where you go. If you buy one from a corner lot you are obviously going to get screwed on price. We get ours straight from the tree farm. Thousands of trees to choose from, from seedlings to over 20ft high monstrosities (of course they don't sell many of these and they usually only leave a few). We used to get 16ft trees but don't go that crazy anymore, now we get 8-10ft trees.

Anyone know where I can get a good aluminium pole?

Use one from a volleyball net set. Last year we gave my aunt a signed pic of my dad standing in the yard with the 'Festivus pole' as a gag gift.

We've got a nice 7' tree that couldn't have been more than $20, my parents won't spend that much on a tree. We do get ours from the farm though.

Not particularly religious, I think we really celebrate it because it's an excuse to get presents and all that crap. I don't care one way or another as long as I don't have to go to school and get some stuff.

Hmm I LOVE Christmas lights! It's so awesome when some people go all out. This is only like half of the lights around this one house:

  • 2 weeks later...

I will be traveling with my family to Chicago to spend a few days at my cousins' house. Afterwards, we'll be visiting the Atlantic Northeast states and spend a couple of days at a family's friends house in New Jersey.

Oh, and we'll probably have dinner with a few of our other family friends!

So it is once again Christmas Day, what is it that you got from Santa (for those good people among us? ;) )

I got Assassin's Creed II, a docking station for my iPhone, Transformer 2, Nacho Libre, a torch, finance book and some clothes so far.

I would also like to wish everyone an all-round Merry Christmas!

Dude..If it's for the good people among us..How come you got stuff? That's messed up man, we ought to change Santa's standards, they're too damn low.

Isn't Christmas here yet, but I know one thing I'm definately getting (aside from choosing most of the stuff), I get to sleep in til 12:00! Finally... A year I don't have to get up at 7-9 in the damn morning because of my brother.

I want a better microphone for moviemaking but I don't know which one I want yet so I'll get it after Christmas.

As my "default" present under the tree I think my mother got me a sweater or something...

Meh. I'm 17, turn 18 in January. Christmas isn't that big a deal to me now.

I like my sleep.

Yeh same here. But sister came in at 7am and woke me up just so that she could open her presents. So I wake up cranky and a little hungover. Only thing to do is drink until January 1. Love the holidays

That really sucks Jem.

I'm more of the type to throw something at people who try wake me up, and I have a 13 year old brother who'll wake up around 8am.

Thankfully this year is going to be different from previous ones. Though I might end up not sleeping at all, happened before.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I don't know what I'll get yet since it's still Christmas Eve, probably a lot of cash/gift cards though. I don't mind, I never even asked for anything big. But on Christmas Eve each member of the family gets to open one present. I'm not sure which one I'll pick yet. One gift is either a Wii/PS2 game or a DVD, another probably a robe, and another some sort of gift card. There are a couple other boxes but I have no idea what they are; I'll probably open up one of those.
