All_Is_Great
I moved quite a lot when I was in elementary. I think 5 schools in 6 years, though 3 years (gr 4-6) at one school. Also, I moved after grade 6, then moved back after grade 8, but by then, even though I went to the same junior high as some of my old classmates, we never really talked. And when high school came, I had to go to a different school than most of the friends I made in grade 9, but that wasn't as hard, because sometimes I still see them. Also, in grade 7, one of my friends had leukemia and passed away at the beginning of grade 8. So, now even though I have friends that I hang out with, I can't call any of them my best friend, since they aren't the kind that I can just share everything with. It's kind of weird. Youmu
I've lost quite a few of my friends, when we had to move over to Guangzhou (about 3 years ago). Though, the people in my new school are better friends than the ones back at my old school so it doesn't really matter much. Ouchy
Yep, plenty of times. No big deal, don't really think about itand I wasn't too close to them. Latinoking
It feels like I've lost my just about 95% of my friends (including my best friend) from high school. I just don't talk to them anymore (not even on facebook), or hang out with that 95%. I keep making new and new friends in college, sure. But they are nothing like my friends from high school. unkn0wnwarrior
I lost a couple of my closest friends from my younger years. They moved away and I haven't seen either one since. I also lost another a few years later when they moved away. Chalk up a few more during the switch from elementary to secondary schools and another few when I finished school. Ultimately, I lost a couple more when I moved closer to my job, even though it was only an hour down the highway. I've made some awesome new friends, but I wouldn't mind getting together with the old ones again. They've probably changed a lot more than I have, though. Zierro
I've been to numerous schools so I had a great opportunity to make many friends. It sucked when I had to leave and then try to make a bunch of new friends from scratch, but somehow I always managed to find new ones.
Rainy_Day
I had a best friend throughout Primary school who I would constantly hang around with, though when my parents separated I moved away to another part of the country. I returned once to see my father, and saw him for a while, though haven't seen him since. That was around 6 years ago I believe. I suppose I have sorta lost one, My friend Brianna, we hung out alot 'till her mom made her change schools. I saw her recently, she ditched her school to come to my school and eat lunch, buts been it. She doesn't have a cell phone anymore or internet access so its been kinda rough. But next year will be the worst, when i lose most of my friends... ^Hawt new Siggy^ Made by yours truly.Yeah, Spanish class is where everything funny happens.Click To see my Origami gallery![hide=Important drops]Important drops..... The Observer
Lost many because we don't really talk anymore, but what hurts more is when you lose your best friend of many years. What makes it worse is losing them because they backstab you.
dsavi
I was seven when I moved to Finland from America, but I haven't really lost my friends from back then. I haven't seen a lot of then for years simply because it's so expensive to travel. :( Going back there to see them is like time travel. I also kind of lost a lot of friends when I went from elementary to middle/high school here, and honestly, I really haven't had a real good friend since. I met up with one of them recently, made me realize I should never have gone to the school that I did. I'm not sure how that would have worked out, though, because I was building a really bad reputation that I wanted to escape by the end of elementary. I did escape it, and now everyone seems to have forgotten it, but it means I missed seeing any of my real friends here for more than 2½ years. fastortoise
I just remembered two of my close friends died in a car accident :???: It was only two years ago, I feel terrible that I forgot about the incident when I wrote my first post. JeremyM
I havent lost many at all. From elemenary school -> high school I drifted apart from some, but in the last 2 years I've reconnected with almost all of them. The most important friend I've lost is probably my friend Austin. I met him 2 years ago when I was in grade 10. He was in grade 11 but had to redo a lot of his gr10 courses because he had a brain tumor and missed a lot of class. He passed away at the age of 17 two days before summer break ended. He still lives on through the school though because his family runs a charity in memory of him, miss the guy a lot :( [Admin Edit: Attempting to publicly humiliate a user in your signature is inappropriate] Quit Runescape... I_am_Geed
I'v only lost one friend, but he deserves to get nowhere in life the way he still acts. First, he was really cool untill he set his sights upon this girl that honestly there was no way in hell he could get. She didnt like him already, and she had a boyfriend. But nevertheless, he became infatuated with her. The more infatuated he got, the more of a [bleep] he became. He began to take it out on me, but in the beginning I thought nothing of it because well, I'm used to it. But as time went on he became much more of a jerk. He started getting brutal, saying the relationship I just got out of (which in time ended me up with severe depression, and 2 attempted suicides) was nothing compared to the way he felt about this girl. Mind you, I had actually been with someone I can confidently say that I LOVED with all my heart and soul, and he was telling me that his little wet dreams were better than that. It then took a swan dive. He began to verbally attack me. He would say things like "I was better than you, I am better than you, and I always will be better than you" I had enough. I told him to piss off, and we havnt talked a single word sense. Im just glad that this year all my friends who talked to him as an acquaintance stopped talking to him because they felt he was a jerk too. Although this may sound horrible, but I herd today he was deferred from all his collages. In my head, Borat appeared. He offered 2 words to me : "GREAT SUCESS" This kid deserves absolutely nothing for the way he treats people. You can agree, you can disagree, but it takes a lot for me to even get mad at someone. And for me to hate this kid, yeah. its bad.
stonewall337
I didn't "lose" them in the sense that I left and whatever, but I have had some who, oh I don't know how to describe it. Its almost as if they changed their stance. They essentially left my life. Not me, I tried, but they weren't interested. SeanCalibur
When I went up to 6th form college, quite a few of my friends moved on to a different school/college, including two best friends (but i still contact them) while I stayed at the same school with the majority of my friends. The idea of not seeing those best friends every day hurt though :/

Lielac
I lost one to death when he was 49, in may 2007, and the Earth is down one very awesome punster. I lost one to growing apart, though I still see her about three times a year. I lost one to her being too damn noisy, upbeat, and intrusive, and I have to deal with her for two weeks a year. Balance may be power, but chaos is still pretty damn fun.Canada can't be second rate, polar bears are their main mode of transportation.
