hfbrads
Anyone know where to buy/sell rares on world 1 now? Used to be a place south of the GE where people would gather to trade their rares but it looks like it's all dicers or doublers there now.

hfbrads
You're doing it on 5:1 with 5 combats. It's like saying you did the fastest small run ever while doing it at c1. It's not really a useful distinction, even if it the fastest.
lnfernuus
if you do want to see the fastest large with 5:1, use 1 lvl 3 so that all the monsters and boss are below lvl 10 too- means anyone can 1-hit the boss too.

Youmu
I think the real challenge lies within map usage, your gatestones and keeping your run energy intact all the time. I find that when guidemoding 5:1, you need to read map alot and make sure the map doesn't screw you over or anything (like monoliths or colored ferrets). The 1-hit boss thing with a lvl 3 is really only useful for frozen maps. I find that guidemoding may be an effective way to do future dungs, as a set amount of rooms are always crit and it really brings out mapreading skills. (In fact, due to p2p doors it may be more worth it to do guide mode larges in f2p...) In other news, I opened up my friends chat for anyone wanting to do larges as 5 combats. Youmu
All right, I've officially re-opened my friends chat (it was used briefly in the early days of dg) to f2p dungeoneers of all sorts. We primarily focus on 5cb larges, finding new ways to do such things, like guidemoding and 5:1's. We also tried taking in a leech with us, advertising our sub15 minute large average. The leech paid 250k/large. I'm starting to wonder if this is gonna be 3bo all over again... Misaki
If this actually starts up, I think it would be a positive influence in improving the overall Dungeoneering scene in F2P, and not restricting all of the good DGers in world 61. Good luck Sonic :)
Youmu
I think the number one problem that we really need to find a solution for would be the xp rates. Because of this xp penalty thing, people are inclined to think 5cb dungs are way slower xp/h, when infact it is actually not that slow. This is especially considering the fact that 90% of my 5cb larges are under 15 minutes (around 11-12 minute average), and for a lot of people they average around 20 minutes doing 2cb3sk larges. The main focus in the chat would only be fast floor times, really. It's pretty much established that the xp rate argument is not going to work... Central_Keeper
@mackenzie14 I have pretty much everything covered except prayer, mainly the cash required to buy enough bones. Interestingly enough, I think I am the only one buying enough essence to walk it all the way to RC 99 (with 3.8mil ess, don't think I need that many, but thought I keep some extra in case ess ever going back up again). Overall, I think the only remaining obstacle is to find the time to play. a happy Runescaper
Youmu
IMO it is always best to use adamant arrows for all ranged, especially when playing Fist of Guthix or ranging giants. The extra DPS bonus is worth the slightly extra price. Remember, addy arrows used to be 300 gp each and look where they are now... Central_Keeper
Hmmm, I used to use Bronze all the time and picking them up and somehow stumbled my way to lvl 99 range. I did used about 10k addy arrows just for kicks, but they were all from icy giants. I still remember the days where I spend 5 hours world hopping buying bronze arrows after the world reset, good times (oh yeah, manage to buy 25k bronze or something, but was so sleepy, kind of crazy went through all the world servers). a happy Runescaper
