stevepole
When I was in high school I harvested green peas during the summer and drive a huge combine. I also used to help my dad so I could just ask him for money if I really need like a $20 for gas or money for lunch. I also used to get dividends quarterly so that also helped as I would usually use that for gas money.
TTanT
Well, judging that I rarely want new things that I can possibly get, I don't need much money. I mean, I have $250-ish dollars, and my only income is about 20-40 dollars on Birthdays/Christmas. But judging that I am now actually spending my money, due to elading a more active social life, I'm probably going to buy sodas 4 for $1 and candy bars for $0.40 each-ish and sell them for $1 each at school. As long as no-one rats me out, I'll do fine. =p The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.I would laugh, not hate. nine naked men
I worked from about 14-16 at a Chinese restaurant, waitering and taking orders and stocking the buffet, two nights a week from 5-8pm, for about $20 for the whole 3 hours. I didn't mind the lack of cash, seeing as no one else was very interested in hiring a 14 year old, and it was crazy fun when a tonne of the tables got filled, since I was the only person trying to do everything at once. And I also got a free container of Chinese food when I finished each night, which was awesome. Now I work at a service station along the highway, which is even more awesome. Great people, and there's always stuff happening. One thing that comes to mind was these 3 people who had gotten fuel, then started trying to fill up softdrink bottles with the stuff. I went out and told them they couldn't, and they were like okay, and then when I went in, they drove off without paying, leaving one guy behind, who promptly sprinted off into the scrub. ._. I was suspecting something, since it was a pretty [cabbage]ty car, they didn't look too rich, and they had gotten a full tank of petrol before, but there wasn't much I could do about it beforehand. D: I called the cops, they took the details and stuff and were like 'okay'. And then the next day when I went to work, a friend of my boss comes in and said he heard about the drive off we had yesterday, and it turns out for some strange reason he has a police radio thingy in his car. At first I thought he was an undercover superhero, but he's like 70, overweight and balding... and he said he heard them pull up their car, which was reported stolen, and they had run off into the bush carrying like 3 jerrycans of petrol, and they still hadn't found them yet. Lol'd so hard. xD sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
Maze
My parents never buy me anything unless its my birthday or Christmas. I'm only 13, I make money by doing some chores around the house like sweeping and mopping floors. I also sometimes clean the sinks. $10 a week is a good income for me, because I only use my money to buy games, really, and usually one game will last me at least 6 weeks. Skull
I saved up money from my birthday/holidays. I got allowance for a few months when I was like seven years old, but that didn't last long at all and was like 2 dollars a week. I've never really been someone who spends money because it's not something I've every really had a way to get. I started saving money to buy a car when I was about 10 so almost all my money has gone into that. I don't have even close to enough though. Lenticular_J
I'm trying to get a job at the city's school district's tv station. I have a bunch of friends that work there, and apparently it's fairly easy, fun if you like to be around cameras, and pays really well. One of my friends filmed football games, and he could make more than a hundred dollars for a single two-hour game. The station is mostly run by students, including monetary matters, so each student can have a block for whatever project they're working on, and sell ad space for that block, along with the mnimum-wage salary from the actual station (some folks make more than that). Won't be able to work there until next school year, though. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream
____
At school I dealt with "black-market goods" which primarily consisted of cigarettes, dvd's, cd's and the occasional test results. dvd's and cd's was the big money maker. $5 per disc.. I was selling 50 per week sometimes. Then the "public knowledge" of apps like Napster happened and it dried up very quickly. At which point I basically stopped dealing unless people really needed something they couldn't find or couldn't convert, etc on their own. I still got a good couple of years out of it :) Now I make legitimate money - although I have been invited to some private poker games where the winnings could be over 30k .. tempting :)

Skeptical
I did a similar thing only buying multipacks of cans and selling them on.Used to be about £1 for a full pack of 6, split them into singles and sell them for 30p+.Buy one get one frees used to be awesome as well as PE days where you could easily get rid of 3 or 4 multipacks in a matter of minutes.Best of all the supermarket was literally opposite the school so it was easy money and the only hard bit was getting to the supermarket to restock as they weren't too keen on letting the pupils out. But some fake slips always worked (just needed 1 real slip at the start of the year then it was a case of photocopying it and carefully overwriting the signature and handwriting to make it look real). I was kinda the kid at school how always had a stash of drinks, sweets and some change which I could lend (for interest of course).Made a fair bit of cash per week. I didn't do anything nearly as interesting as that; I just delivered papers. Actually, I found it to be a rather meditative activity, so I quite rarely refer to it as a job. Lenticular_J
Me and my brother are starting a baby landscaping company (baby describes the fact that it's me and him. we don't landscape babies. yet.) when he moves back. He did it with his friend when he was my age, but here a lot of people do it, so I'll need his help. Plus, none of my friends would probably do it ... Actually, that's a complete lie. It just might be better to do it with my brother. Bonding and all that [cabbage]. Seeing as he made 5 digits the very first summer he did it, I'm very much down down down down down (dooooooowwwwn, dooooowwwwwn). catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Saru Inc
A simple one day a week job to cover my drug dealing. Be able to go out every night, saying I have work (and having the money to prove it at the end of the week) looool. hardcore. I'm looking for a new job atm, right now I'm making roughly ~$950 a month, with $500 in bills per month, (not including groceries\gas, simply car bills, insurance, phone, etc) which leaves me $450 a month for gas, groceries, and well a social life. (Though I've found plenty of ways to chill with friends for free.) And as soon as my dang mom gets her 2008 w-2 from her bookie I can *try( and squeeze in some fafsa for 2009 (if it's not too late) then do some 2010 fafsa. I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. lizzywizzy666
Between the ages of 13 and 17 I used to work in a pub cleaning dishes, making puddings, cleaning the pub, general jobs if they needed doing. From 17 to now (24) I have worked full time in a supermarket counting stock, working on home shopping, helping on checkouts and other bits and pieces that need doing. + I work part time in a cinema either taking tickets and cleaning screens between showings or I am serving food, drinks and tickets. its not too bad but the pay is a little pants. The second job, the money is going straight to savings in hopes that sometime next year I can move to wales.... it wont be enough for a deposit on a house, but it will be enough to buy all furniture and stuff for a unfurnished rented flat. Pkmastachaos
When I was younger, mostly asking parents for money, birthdays/holidays & chores around home. These days I have my own job, working full time in a warehouse. Pay is pretty good, hours are steady and work well with my social life (7am-3:30pm), and I love the people I work with. Lots of benefits too. Grossing about $2700CAN(~£1,962) a month, not too shabby for a first job. Love having the freedom to do what I want with my own money. demby123
I took out the trash for the neighbors for 1 dollar every day as a first job. For about a month in high school I couldn't afford bus fare, I bought various chips from a dollar store for 25 cents, then sold them in school for 50. Then my backpack got stolen. <_<
