3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion

I don't mean large amounts. I mean obscene amounts. When you're merching multiple shields and have over 500M, I mean what's the point of doing stuff specifically to make more? To show how much you have? What's the big deal?

 

 

 

To be able to afford items / skills that would be unreachable without a large amount of cash. Such as 99 herby/ prayer/ summon / construction.

 

 

 

Or items such as a godsword set , Spirit shield etc. Its also the fact that having a large sum of money is impressive to your average scape and thats what a huge percentage of this game is about , to impress your mates etc. What other uses do phats / rares have etc ?

GP value drops as time pass as more of them enter the game. 500m is no longer a ridiculous amount of money. People are constantly re-evaluating money. The way people see item prices at the moment just shows how much GP is now valued in the economy.

that scenario isn't even possible. considering the current number of party hats in game, still, basically the same amount of people would have them. if everyone had a party hat, i'd still say they look badass. they wouldn't be as big a status item, but still a classic example of badassery.

Called the buyout got 2 for min last night because I felt it was happening.

 

 

 

I see them reaching 120-130M tops before a dump and when I sell my shields I will post it.

 

 

 

As for spectrals maybe 100M but we'll have to see how strong this buyout is.

Phats arnt the best item ? They provide no use apart from to look good. And dude dont buy now XD you lose 20 m + on the crash.

I think party hats are starting to rise because all the cheap noobs can afford them, 60mil ain't all that much these days,

 

Absolute [cabbage]. theres ALOT of players like me who have played since 01' and aren't even hitting the 10m mark.

 

 

 

OT: Spirit shields I can belive to rise alot due to the rareness in drop, the monster and the high requirements and extremly usefull abilities they hold. 3A isn't as strong as Torags but is rare ONLY because of Treasure Trails, hell I see 3A more then what I see of Animal Masks. and Party Hats? honestly dont deserve to be their price. Its a holiday item, a festivity, not a damn tool for players to use as barganing chips to increase their wealth.

Don't know about the vams, but bear helmet has highest mage defense in the game -- higher than arma.

ive been out of the market for a while so could anyone tell me if they would expect 3a kite to keep going down? or does anyone think they will eventually go back up?

 

i had bought one couple months ago and just checked and noticed i lost a lot of money.....

3a has pretty much crashed for a while. Melee plate and legs are a bit more stable than everything else, but the kite? I don't think so.

3rd age is basically done until it becomes affordable for the average 120+ player to wear as a for fun armour. Kite is the worst 3rd age to own because it's just basically a high priced piece of junk with bad stats compared to other shields.

 

 

 

I would suggest either keeping it and accepting the loses if you like it, try to sell it in the GE and if you get lucky it will, or trade it for a crashing spirit shield.
