It's up to you whether you want to sell or not it doesn't seem like an organized buyout and well I don't want to be stuck with 3 arcanes in the end and I profited so I'm fine with that. Is it just me or are merchants having trouble regaining total control- Yes, with shields and hats they are making profit, and a good amount of it. But as Rsw44 pointed out, it seems shakey with the Arcane/Spectral buyout, and everything is shakey- 3rd age- The initial crash was a mess. Merchants tried to regain control but it just wouldn't go. (Most will remember people Flipping items- Calzo did it quite well.) Partyhats- A giant roller coaster lately.. they're up more of the time, but they have crashes pretty often. Divine/Ely- Worth alot but merchants lost their 1b+ street of these... Yea they're still merching, but there is still nothing like what we remember 3a being- Unbuyable for months on the GE with extremely high street prices.. The only close things atm are Pumpkin/Disk/Easter/Half Wine. Waiting to see what happens on those, but merchants have lost control of most else... Idk... Everything seems alot shakier now anyways... Don't know about the vams, but bear helmet has highest mage defense in the game -- higher than arma. Not according to Tip.It's item DB... I stand corrected -- Jagex changed this. God, how do you always get the best out of a deal. Yesterday I was happy, drooling over my potential 20-100m profit, now I'm stuck with my arcanes and spectrals not selling for min. But as Rsw44 pointed out, it seems shakey with the Arcane/Spectral buyout, and everything is shakey- The simple reason things are "shakey" now is because all of the solo merchants are worried about losing their Gp, if the item doesn't go well. So all of them contribute to the item falling every time. Big clans, without predumpers, could control it perfectly well, with ease. Solo merchants, most of the time, are a manipulators enemy as they're just doing it for fun, not trying to gain the max profit each time. Hopefully some time soon we'll see Jagex changing how things like the Grand Exchange work, so there won't be this hassle. All-in-all, it's one big crash, and the RS economy still hasn't pulled out of it. I used to have a red h mask, and I sold it for 42m, highest it ever got. Then I quit for a few months, and came back to notice they are under 20m. So the question is...is there big market fluctuation going on now? Or is it still the aftermath of the RWT updates? Before these updates, rares were more expensive, and other regular things were cheaper. So what your item crashes, 2-3days l8er, the price is sure to go back to a portion at which it crashed from. That means, items are SLOWLY but SURELY going down permanently. :lol: jagex will do something soon though, i hate grand exchange or at least how easy it is to manipulate. Your not stuck with them they will be rebought out but it has to be a clan of people not by a few merchants and alot of regular players trying to jump on the bandwagon. It's not calzo's fault people paniced and sold all their shields early. I'd watch the market very closely all it takes in 15 minutes for a clan to totally buy them out for atleast a few days. For now I am not going to get invovled because once the buyout ends there will be a massive crash which I could get stuck in since I don't play as much anymore.. I was considering buying one mainly for looks, and to have owned one. UPDATE: Bought one. Not as dark as I would have liked but it still looks very nice. It would take a few multibillion gp clans to buy them out because there are just so many these days on the market. Last buyout the people who got them and don't want them dumped and the small clan couldn't buy them all up so they just fell. Personally I don't expect a buyout to happen and if it does it won't last long because at 80-100M each you realy can't buy them out without some serious money which many people started investing in partyhats and just keeping them to hold money. You can easily make a million a day with barely any effort or skill required. So no, it won't crash.
