What does that mean?

Smart casual, you make sure your kinda dressed but no suit type things. Nice, decent, clean clothes which are just about what you'd wear everyday but nicer.

I'm asking for what he meant in particular, not in general. Topman probably call a blazer, a deep V tee, skinny acid wash jeans and fingerless gloves "smart casual", but I don't think that's what Shiny meant.

Good, sorry was tired when reading that... Took it a bit to literal. Besides seeing his last post in the Real Life Pictures thread his smart casual is probably going to be a dressy long sleeve button up with some pants, probably not jeans but something not to dressy, along with a pair of shoes that are made with leather but not nearly as dressy...

We could also just wait for him to reply :P

This is what I mean:

 

Points to note: Sleeves are too short on the blazer, but they are also bunched at my elbow because I failed at putting my arm through. haha. Pants would go over the boots, not bunch on top.

 

Heavyweight ASOS navy chinos, vintage shoes, Uniqlo pink ocbd, polo Ralph Lauren pocket square, ASOS grey blazer. Thoughts?

- I like your glasses and your shirts (dat collar on the second pic)

- I personally don't like footwear without lacing.

- I don't like gray with pink. Apparently that's just me though.

- Very round, clunky shoes don't like good with small leg openings IMO (2nd).

- I would suggest wider lapels on your next jacket/suit purchase.

- How do you look in fuller pants?

Gray and pink is just you, I think it is a heavenly combo. Thanks for the compliments regarding the glasses and shirts. Fair comment on the footwear, they're chelsea boots and certainly not to everyone's taste. Agreed on the clunky shoe comment, I think you need larger leg openings to pull them off. On the navy chinos the leg opening is crazy slim. Agreed on the lapels. Personally, I dig the whole peak lapel thing happening right now on blazers, but its not to everyone's taste. Fuller pants I would say don't really flatter me. My legs are incredibly slim, its hard enough right now to find properly fitting slim, and relatively straight cuts. These are 511s in the next picture. This is what I'm wearing tonight to a friend's 18th.

Bought a few t-shirts from GAP over the past couple of days - bought some neutral colors and also some more vivid colors for dying - which i've been doing on my art project at college;

Fuller pants I would say don't really flatter me. My legs are incredibly slim, its hard enough right now to find properly fitting slim, and relatively straight cuts.

So long as they fit in the seat, trousers don't need to be tight. I think as long as they're long enough, a really wide cut (by today's standards) can look very good IMO.

I've always wanted to give screen printing a try but found the time to try it.

recommend GAP t-shirts to anyone looking for comfortable, breathable tops. Also great for screenprinting, and they absorb dye very well too.

I really like these Quiet Life hats, even if they're a little silly.

You need to have truck loads of confidence to pull of these 5 panel snapbacks. I dig them, but don't suit them, nor do they fit into my style.

One thing I noted about the typical "Internet" fashion style is being too effeminate. It's glaringly obvious in this thread too.

I don't usually wear sunglass but when I do they're usually a pair I barrow from my friends, but this last weekend I picked up a pair of this Oakley's while I was down in San Diego for the weekend.
