July 15, 201213 yr The 'Like This' feature. It serves no other purpose than to abbreviate conversation, and if used as the staff recommends* it would just leave a poster trying to start a discussion wondering why no one is replying, since he doesn't know people have been liking his post. There isn't a like notification system, right? *In that discussion is often born from nonsense. If people just Liked something, they wouldn't follow up on their viewpoint. Most posts I make start as some such nonsense, then I think about it more and add more of my own opinion. I know this because the new button telling you your number of warning points showed me an old, deleted post that followed such a structure. Okay so there IS a like notification system. Yay.I liked your post partially out of agreeing and partially for the delicious hypocrisy. The new appearance of the forums has me all out of whack.THEY'RE NOT PINNED THREADS, THEY'RE STICKIED. I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS. The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.[/hide]
July 15, 201213 yr I've been wanting to do another pokemon white playthrough but I've spent like 2 hours reloading my save trying to get an adamant tepig. Y U NO COME?! Your problem is that you are using Tepig as your starter when Darmanitan/Darumaka outclasses it in every way, shape, and form. Alternatively, you could play White 2 instead of White.
July 15, 201213 yr It's there to put an end to quote chains and +1 posts. It hasn't happened recently on OT but it probaqbly goes on in the other forums. Happens a lot in RS General Discussion. Saying +1, 'This' or 'I agree with what this young man/woman has posted' doesn't add anything to discussion value so viola, the liking feature for those guys. And yet there's a limit to how many posts you can like per day, which defeats the purpose of having a Like system.
July 15, 201213 yr The new version of Firefox annoys the hell out of me. It's as if I just installed it every single time I have to start it again, and that includes when it crashes. At least it's still on Version 10 on my laptop, which I'm getting the files to revert from 13.1 on my desktop back to 10. Why can't they program their browser as it should be, Firefox is like IE when I switched browsers, but now I don't know which browser to go to since I hate Chrome, and Opera is too clutered. Guess I might be going back to IE, but I swore never to go back to that browser.
July 15, 201213 yr Why do you hate Chrome? I haven't once regretted switching to it from Firefox a couple years ago.
July 15, 201213 yr Tried it for a week, and just couldn't stand how it looks, plus a few other facts. It was also unstable when I tried it, but that probably changed.
July 15, 201213 yr Reasons why I dislike Chrome:Cannot bookmark the page you are on as fast as Firefox. Cannot right-click > view images to check its size. The address bar's auto-filling thing isn't as good as Firefox. The Firefox one will give you lists of websites you've visited whereas Chrome gives a mixture of that not all of them somtimes) and an option to google search words not even close to what you type. And for some reason, in the Windows Task Manager it appears multiple of times, doing things that I do not know and essential taking more memory than Firefox.Sure there are more but this is what I can think up on the spot. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
July 15, 201213 yr When Illustrator decides to magically crash when I've almost finished something. Wasted 2 hours and didn't save. somehow managed to power-make it all over again, probably since I know how to use it now. Popoto.~<3
July 15, 201213 yr You shouldn't really do that though. Hotlinking is bad, even if it is for just a quick image. Not that I'm innocent of it - though :P Why is hotlinking bad? "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

July 15, 201213 yr You shouldn't really do that though. Hotlinking is bad, even if it is for just a quick image. Not that I'm innocent of it - though :P Why is hotlinking bad? It leeches bandwidth. Which can cost the actual host of the picture money. Also, since it's on their server, they control the image you're using. Meaning if they move it, delete it, etc., it's gone. They can also change it if they want to. It happened to a Cracked article once, I think, which was pretty funny. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

Any server that hosts images should be prepared for hotlinking. @Star: Chrome uses separate processes per tab, that's why you see multiples in the task manager. I haven't found it uses nearly as much as firefox. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

July 15, 201213 yr Because if you're hosting an image on the internet, it goes without saying that you want it to be viewed.....and since it's possible for people to hotlink images, you should be prepared for it. It's quite easy for small sites that can't handle hotlinking to host their images elsewhere if they please, and they should do so if they don't want them to be hotlinked. That's why I love the tipit community, it's basically a community full of trolls and this is where we come to actually talk about stuff for a change, while still keeping kinda troll-ish.
July 15, 201213 yr Tried it for a week, and just couldn't stand how it looks, plus a few other facts. It was also unstable when I tried it, but that probably changed. I find it pretty stable, and you can customize the way it looks to a certain extent. I dislike IE for obvious reasons, and I prefer Chrome over FF just because it seems simpler to me. Just give Chrome another try if you haven't in a while. I actually switched to Chrome because FF was too unstable and was giving me problems.
July 15, 201213 yr Being at home during the day. I always end up watching terrible daytime tv. July 16, 201213 yr My lack of self control during the steam sale. I always thought people were joking when they talked about getting games they never will play just because they're cheap, but I've actually done that now. Being at home during the day. I always end up watching terrible daytime tv.I normally end up watching CNN, then getting angry. I get Al-Jazeera now, but it doesn't come in HD so I always forget about it.

July 18, 201213 yr I just saw an advertisement for the Annoying Orange show on Cartoon Network while I was waiting for KOTH to come on. I was lucky that I didn't have a knife in my pocket or else I wouldn't have wrists.

Get back here so I can rub your butt.

July 18, 201213 yr I'm hoping it's a 1 season deal. I mean The Looney Tunes Show was awesome and that only got 1 season. Surely someone at CN is realizing how bad Annoying Orange is. EDIT: What the heck is going on here?
July 18, 201213 yr I made it a whole 1:19 seconds into the first episode on youtube before I wanted to shoot someone (specifically whoever thought up that show). The only thing more baffling than the fact that show actually got aired is that the existence of more than one episode means someone actually watched it. Seriously? There are people who can watch that? I seriously hope that at no point in my life would I have ever found that show amusing. To preserve my sense of self worth I'm just going to go with 'no, I would have never enjoyed that'.
