Things that annoy the HELL out of you.

I hate Cracked. I really do. The writing style is so predictable and boring. Also because of its readers that have to post a link to some dumb Cracked article they had read that's somewhat relevant to the conversation. They're like Nickelodeon Magazine articles for 18 year olds.

  • Thanks to you, I'm imagining a circle of hell that's a movie theater that plays nothing but child porn (And Setzer/Friedberg movies, this is hell after all), and it's impossible to see or hear anythin

  • How hard it is to find classy/ unobtrusive merchandise relating to shows in general (but especially anime).   All I want is a nice watch or keychain that will remind me of my favorite show when I look

I still find the humorous cracked articles funny, but the 'factual' ones have gone downhill a lot recently.

To be honest, that's because in the course of 5 years most good article ideas have been taken and contributors are forced to look really hard to find an article idea and 6 fitting entries. That's not an attack on Cracked, it's a sign of admiration for the writers, since I've nearly given up after about a year of shooting down my own ideas because of the dreaded "it's been done before".

What annoys me is when I notice I left my bike lights on for a while.

For whatever reason you're trying to hold a conversation and the other person completely sucks at it, leaving awkward silence. Don't expect me to revive the conversation now that you've [bleep]ed it up.

This is something that gets me too. I don't talk much to begin with, and for a while I was a terrible conversationalist when paired up with anyone who wasn't pretty much content to listen to the sound of their own voice. I've gotten a lot better at it over the years, but carrying a conversation is still quite an effort for me. I'm happy to contribute up to 50%, more if its something that actually really interests me and I know a lot about, but I need some help getting the ball rolling. Normally once I try to start a conversation a couple times I will just go with silence until the other person makes an attempt thus signalling they actually do want to talk.

The new forum look. I can't stand it, and none of the new features are even that usefull.

Give it a couple of months. By then nobody will remember what the old board looked like.

Yeah, I am mostly used to the new look already, but I find it more annoying than helpful because the aura of nostalgia feels much stronger to me. If I looked at a picture of an interface that was changed a month ago, it would feel like I haven't seen it in a year. Anything older and the "It feels like I am ten again" even if it was a year or two old.

It's going to take a while to get used to it.

The most annoying thing about it is that no longer can I quickly move between different forums from the bottom of the page, always have to get to board index again.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

The most annoying thing about it is that no longer can I quickly move between different forums from the bottom of the page, always have to get to board index again.

And no back to the top button on the mobile version.

Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

Ask on http://forum.tip.it/topic/312872-post-upgrade-details/ if it can be added again. Users have made minor requests in that thread and MageUK has accommodated them.

The 'Like This' feature.

It serves no other purpose than to abbreviate conversation, and if used as the staff recommends* it would just leave a poster trying to start a discussion wondering why no one is replying, since he doesn't know people have been liking his post. There isn't a like notification system, right?

*In that discussion is often born from nonsense. If people just Liked something, they wouldn't follow up on their viewpoint. Most posts I make start as some such nonsense, then I think about it more and add more of my own opinion. I know this because the new button telling you your number of warning points showed me an old, deleted post that followed such a structure.

Okay so there IS a like notification system. Yay.

It's there to put an end to quote chains and +1 posts. It hasn't happened recently on OT but it probaqbly goes on in the other forums.

I have only ever seen that in LOTPW, though I'll admit I'm not a very widely-posted forumite.

It seems like a useless feature, and for some inexplicable reason it offends me. <.<

Happens a lot in RS General Discussion. Saying +1, 'This' or 'I agree with what this young man/woman has posted' doesn't add anything to discussion value so viola, the liking feature for those guys.

Tip It now only allows approved image hosting site links which is annoying when you would like to hop onto google images and quickly link to a picture.

☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢

I miss the old posting setup. Just a couple of buttons for link, media, images, etc. Now there are a ton of new ones that don't seem to be useful/are rather vague in what they do... Especially the new link button. Can't even add a description of the site you're linking to, like before. Maybe I just haven't explored them enough.

I've been wanting to do another pokemon white playthrough but I've spent like 2 hours reloading my save trying to get an adamant tepig. Y U NO COME?!

Hunting natures/IVs or grinding EVs on a standard playthrough of Pokemon is way overkill, lol. The games are too easy for that.

I like the "Like" feature. It's similar to a normal conversation where you nod or hum in agreeance. Sometimes you just don't have anything to add to the point.

It looks like the Tip.it forums are slowly turning into Shoryuken's forums, but with a better reply interface. You probably can't see it if you're not a registered member, but there is a "like" feature, and no one has a problem with it.
