There is one annoyance that is so annoying and such a big part of most of our lives that I don't know how I forgot to mention it.

 

Time. Time is the most annoying thing that I have ever encountered. Want more time time to do your homework? Nope, you don't get any. Want more time to play video games? Nope, you don't get any. Time has no mercy at all. You don't have control on how much you get, only on how you can use it. We are all slaves of time.

Which is why we value efficiency. We can't control it so we make the most of what we get.

But I don't like how society goes about it. I don't think schools should try to cram in as much homework and subjects as possible in a short period of time. You know what that leads to? Stress. I think people ( at least in the U.S) today are stressed because they have too much to do in too little time.

Agreed. It seems like society is moving away from a pursuit of happiness by making it so that we strive to be efficent, and our generation, and the pervious two, have been pressured into working to achieve maximum efficency. I'd rather have gotten tought how to socialize well and enjoy my life, than to be crammed knowledge into my mind, which has lead to my depression. I think probably the reason why there is so much mental illnesses these days is because of our attempt to be happy through efficency and not the correct means. :uhh:

That sound Facebook chat makes when you receive an IM. Damn, I barely ever use Facebook, but it's annoying the occasional time I do go on and I hear a "pop!" every 10 seconds.

On topic of facebook, I hate getting requests from people I don't know, denying them, then getting [cabbage] from people with like 1,200 frieds (1,150 of whom they don't know), telling me "lawz u only has 25 friends u hav no l1fe".

That feeling you get when you want to crack a knuckle, but it doesn't click. Same applies to every other joint you can 'click'.

People actually do that? I have about 140 friends (lot's of family and co-workers).
