just asking here because i know how awesome you guys are

I am about to get tier 9 berserker and starting to think about which ranger class to upgrade. Is sniper better than desperado? and does long or short bow matter?

Bows are worthless outside of Hex Hunter. And most people agree Desperado (rapid) is best for Hex.

Times are changin', Lee. ;)

SNIPER is actually best for ranged users (of which there should only be hex users). It has better DPS overall while allowing for 1) more strategic hexing and 2) ammo conservation, which is actually a problem for hexers.

Desperado is a little better than sniper on bosses only, but not enough to really justify taking the time to switch. Furthermore, you get better returns per tier with sniper than with desperado (ie, your desperado ring would have to be much higher tiered than your sniper ring to justify using it).

no desperado is 1.6/1.5x more damage than sniper

and ammo shouldn't be a problem because it takes 10 seconds to log out and back in

Sniper has better DPS. Three hex users spent many, many hours recording data to come to this conclusion, lol. Ammo is NOT recharged by logging. That only works for csbs.

Not a Primal 2h, no rate.

But Prom 2h is like half the name of the Primal 2h!

I'm gonna go bind a Primal Spear now for the other half of the name. Does that count?

way to not explain why guys.

in short, Desperado bonus doesn't stack with hexhunter bonus on Mobs, but does on bosses.

Sniper boosts by a direct factor of 1.5x

So desperado bonus isn't actually 1.6x when you hex a monster with nonzero mage level.

So when shooting a demon, you ONLY get he hexhunter boost, and nothing from your desperado ring?

That's pretty lame...

Na, the way hex work is that it gives you a range level for every mage level your opponent has, but desperado gives you a percentage to your own range levels, thus, the basis is that sniper does stack with hexhunter bonus, bot desperado only does so for bosses.

Had some banana floors with Tui today, trying for some faster floors.

First one wasn't a complete map as noone could pot up to 104 agil, but it didn't seem as thee were too many doors left unopened.

20min.png

No battle mage on this floor(noone got it), was a nice one though.

24min.png

Last floor everyone overloaded at the start and i keyed a beast floor while Tui obviously ragequit. All keys were done but i couldn't bother opening the last door.
