Panic-knifing 12-year-olds that lay down in bushes with assassin on are really taking any kind of skill and fun out of this game. In theory playing this is fun, but not when you run past a seemingly empty area and get knifed in the back by some guy who was laying in a grassy corner waiting for you. Just had a match where that happened 4 times in a row (same guy too). Except what's worse is I would either respawn by him and have little choice in going towards him, or he would move and switch corners just enough so I couldn't expect him. People like this just make me :wall:

It's most annoying on Fallen by the grassy walled up area. I just throw stuns (not flashbangs unless I use Recon).

assassin is necessary in my honest opinion, I do run it on a majority of my classes and honestly with this new support crap UAVs are way too often to not be running assassin.

 

I much prefer assassin over having say stopping power in the game.

 

I do however agree the knife needs to be removed 100% from all fps games.

I use assassin as well, I'm not saying that everyone who uses it sucks at this game (even though that is true much of the time). I'm not hating on it either. Sure, getting killed by someone with it equipped while you're glancing at radar is annoying, but what I'm hating on are the people that use assassin to lay in a corner and not move to get their kills. That requires 0 skill. Don't have to have much reaction time, don't have to aim because sight is already up, and you have the jump on other people because they have to move to you. Just pathetic to do that. Playing regularly (not camping) with assassin is fine.

Just an idea: make quickdraw lower time it takes to call in a killstreak(damn banana phone) and make blast shield work as flak jacket/tac mask all in one.

On top of this make support uavs only be allowed to be used X number of times in a game by the same person(2-3)

this is a good counter to assassin without bringing back the bs that is stopping power, imo.

friend decided he would try and make a balenced list of perks he would like to see in blops2, all the perks have been seen before but hes re-aranged the tiers, thoughts guys

TIER 1

slight of hand = faster reload, pro = faster weapon switch and pick up

quickdraw = faster ads, pro = deploy equipment / nade faster

steady aim = tighter hipfire, pro = able to ads faster after sprinting

he cant think of a 4th one

 

TIER 2

blind eye = protects from lethal killstreaks, pro = he has no idea

assasin = protects from non lethal killstreaks, pro = again no idea ;_;

stopping power = deal more damage with bullets, pro = deal more damage against killsteaks with bullets

juggernaught = take less damage from bullets, pro = take less damage from killstreaks ( or act like tac mask in blops, and make flashes / stuns affect you less)

stopping power and jugg will cancel each other out

 

TIER 3

dead silence = make less sound, pro = take no fall damage (still make falling sounds)

sitrep = see enemy equpment through walls, pro = able to hack equipment / pick them up and use them

and he cant think of a 3rd or 4th tier 3. i would make one that counters dead silence (or make sitrep counter it and give sitreps abilitys to another tier 3 perk)[/hide]

Oh, no problem. I was just expressing my opinion on it. I'd love it if you could call in killstreaks as fast as in Black Ops. I get killed all the time calling in things as stupid as UAV. One reason right there that I mainly use specialist now.

Blind eye could be faster lock-on for launchers (like the Strela/Stinger) like in MW3. What exactly does assassin do? By non-lethal killstreaks do you mean UAV/CUAV/EMP and all that? I can already see problems with stopping power/juggernaut, I'm glad they aren't in MW3/BO. Because if you wanted to use blind eye or assassin, you'd get screwed all the time by people with either of those perks. It's an okay list, but that's almost over-compensating for OP perks that people complain about (like assassin). In my opinion, MW3 has the best perk setup. And if that list was to be used, would specialist killstreaks be an option? Because then people would just start with jugg/SP and have their first perk unlocked be whichever one they didn't pick. Specialist bonus would be ungodly OP. Just my opinion.

without stopping power / jugg everyone uses assassin, and yeh assassin would protect against uavs, counter uavs, emps etc

idk about spec bonus, 2 kills for both is a little op yeh

 

 

decided i would stop running assasin and run quickdraw. so i put uav and counter uav as my killstreaks.

 

also jumping around a corner and drop shotting midair = best tactic ever if you know someone is there. no one expects you to do it

Sometimes I wonder what my k/d in this game would be if:

Knifing was removed completely (I never use it because it's so inconsistent, and I use tactical button layout anyways)

Cheap/OP things were removed (this is a lot of things, but the usual type 95, RPG, etc)

I had a really good internet connection (my internet is fairly slow and not very consistent)

I played on a full screen (I'm always split-screening with my brother)

I didn't try to snipe/qs

 

and probably some other stuff I can't really help (like internet/screen). At the moment, my k/d is 1.185, but with most reg guns that I've used for 20k kills it's around 1.3 (so w/o sniping). I could even see it being 1.5 or more if the above things happened. They won't, but I hate to realize that some part of my "skill" at this game is based off of uncontrollable factors.

I honestly hate the type 95 more than the fmg9s. The fmg9s are worthless at range and they're basically a shotgun secondary, the type 95 however best sniper best smg best ar best shotgun

I have generally mild lag/hit detection so I don't use the type 95 because the bursts never land where it looks like I fired them. Most times I just hipfire spray to get the most hits. And yeah, if you look at the type 95's stats, they're just ridiculously high in everything. High damage. High rate of fire. High range. Low recoil. High mobility. It's just too good at everything.

It's probably working better for you than someone with a good connection like mine where I have to limit it to 1.5MB/s to have a good experience.

I sometimes get kills with 1 burst but most of the time it takes me 3 bursts to get it. Anyway not a gun I like to use, haven't used it since something like 3rd prestige.

Try running Rapid fire (you can also use the Attachments proficiency because it has no recoil anyway). It should make your bursts tighter.

That's what I was using when using the type95. Still took 3 bursts since it usually takes me 5 to 8 hitmakers to kill people.

yeah i just don't bother at all, burst weapons on top of the fact that it just refuses to [bleep]ing one burst is a no thanks from me.

 

Rarely use ARs anyway, too used to the run speed of shotguns/smgs

Some things are just basic strategy that not everyone does, like drop-shooting. He's probably just mad that you didn't blindly run out there and get killed by him.

 

Oh, btw, my internet has an upload speed of about 1 mbps, which is apparently pretty slow. It's never too bad for just surfing or playing runescape, but something like COD it'll run a bit slow.

1 mbps is still better than my 16mbps for MW3. Yesterday limitting it to 1.5 wasn't enough so I had to limit it to 1mbps to have a good experience in the game.

I got about 5 one bursts with the Type 95 in a row today. Mind you, they were all running at me in a straight line so it wasn't too hard.

Instead of my usual specialist package (or occasionally support for EMP in domination) I've been thinking about running assault with predator, reaper, osprey. Anyone ever use this? I've used ac-130 instead of osprey a few times, but I don't know if I could get 8 kills with the reaper for a guaranteed osprey. Suggestions?

Just watched that, it looks friggin amazing! I just can't wait to play it as the game looks like the CoD I've been waiting for.

The one thing that will make me buy this game is news that they have fixed the hit detection. The one in Black Ops was extremely bad, and at least in MW3 it's a bit better but still bad. If only they'd bring back the old lag compensation that worked really well that we had between cod4 and mw2.
