Got cleaned for 520M

Featured Replies

Yeah started off with 140M got up to 520M then had a bad run today and got cleaned boxing.

What do I do now? Need like 50m-150m to get started again but I've got nothing atm.

Those are my stats, what are my options?

I have about 1M + 5M worth of minerals for fishing, should I sell them and start boxing again?

Boxing doesn't seem to be winning you much money so i don't think that would be the best idea :P I see you have 99 slayer, that probably makes tons of money i will assume ;]

What do you mean it doesn't make me much money?

Made 380M in a few hours of gaming yesterday :P

And then lost it all! :P

I would utilize your high combat and try to get in some TD's? Or use that slayer and camp a high slayer monster with nice drops.

I would suggest 2.5 bridding dks seeing as you have yak.

or the traditionally frost dragon route.

if you can handle the bots that is.

He doesn't have 85 dung. Go with 2.5 DKS

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Get 90 dungeoneering and do rapier/cls stakes for a little variety?

Might seem kind of nooby, but hunting combined with Farming herbs is great money. There is no risk(obviously) so you could use that to start building up your bank.

Get a friend to give you some money so you can go staking again.

Tormented demons for some cash and if you're into some bonus xp effigys. And just keep farming herbs for some cash on the side. Or you could just continue with your gambling problem and go for small stakes and build up back to where you were.

Oh and sell the minerals if you have no intention of fishing right now. Use the 5m to buy gear and supplies for monster hunting. If you want a decent amount of cash in a decent amount of time you're going to end up monster hunting or staking. IMO there's no reason to have the majority of your cash tied up in something for one skill that you probably aren't training right now anyway. You can always just buy it back later.

So you lost 520m staking, try to defend it as a legitimate money-making method by saying you made 380m, and continue asking for ways to make money?

Well he cant stake for money when he has nothing to stake, can he?

Since you have extremes, maxed melees, and a yak, bosses should be good. TDs(Though your range is a bit low), and herb farming, ect. It would also be good to try to get a rapier on the side.

Word of advice: Avoid staking. Or at least limit yourself. Staking does nothing but corrupts your valuing of money making and potentially can wear on your interest in the game. Sure you have a chance to potentially make millions and billions within days, but you can easily lose that amount just as fast.

This 1000x. After having staked before, and been up over 20m in less than half an hour, it makes me want to do other parts of the game so much less. I've been closing in on 99 slayer lately, and every time I get ready to do slayer I always think to myself "Sure, I could go do a few tasks and make a few mil in a few hours, or I could go stake, and possibly make 10m+ in a few minutes." It's not a good habit to get into, although it is quite fun when you win a lot.

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

Nobody stops while they are ahead I swear.

Just slay I guess. Then according to you since staking Is sure fire, stake what you just made slaying.

I have a sick feeling about staking. I lost 590M there. I've lost 37 of 45 matches. This is exclusively rapiering and boxing. Keep in mind that I have 99 attack, strength, defense, and hitpoints. Personally I think that is ridiculous. It should be somewhere in the vicinity of a flip of a coin. I get first hit over half the time I would say. Hell, last time I went I lost 10 straight. What is up with that? That should be around a 1/1024 chance. (not a 1/1024 chance of losing the 10th match, I understand that the 8th, 9th, and 10th matches I still had about a 1/2 chance of winning)

Small sample size is small. Thing about averages is that they only work out nicely when you approach infinity. Just keep going!

Lol I don't even have enough money for a dragon pickaxe right now. Unfortunately I'm burnt out at frost dragons since there are 12 bots on every world. If you want to give me money to stake though I'll gladly take your advice. : )

Standard deviation of a coin flip tossed 45 times is ~3.33. (45-37)/3.33 ~ 2.4. Therefore you fall between 2 and 3 standard deviations, which means that roughly 1-5% of stakes end up as bad as yours. So you're not a alone buddy.

It sounds to me like you tried and failed a martingale :P

If you want to further try your luck, you could empty miscellania, if you were keeping money there. Otherwise, just slay, I guess.

Martingale always fails in the long run.
