So you get the new seeds from MTK by setting workers to herbs? None of the rest give any of the new seeds?

No, you get the new herbs by setting it on herbs. JaGEx messed up and you don't actually get the new seeds from MTK.

Prayer flashing works by only having your prayer active on the tick you need it. So you activate piety just as you attack, and deactivate just afterwards, so it only drains prayer points for one tick. Nothing changed in that regard; prayer flashing should still reduce the prayer points you use greatly.

Are the new prayer potions honestly a new way to gain profit from herblore? I doubt that will stay the case as prices change over time. Unless there's another factor I'm not aware of that makes this case unique?

Seeds and mushrooms planted, and now we wait... If they take anything near as long as bittercap mushrooms do, it could be a while..

Wait.... This is the entirety of an update? A potion and a 'rework' of prayer points so that they match the constitution changes without changing prayer flashing?

Am disappoint, Jagex. Am disappoint.

Apparently it's in preparation for the loyalty reward update later in the month. Which I'm pretty sure this is the kind of thing that explains why everyone is upset with Jagex: They're putting all their effort into rewarding us for keeping a subscription without really producing many updates worth subscribing for.

this helps pray flashing lol, you only lose 1/10 of a ppoint if you fail

You can lose more than 1 pray point per tick.

dry.gif The technical difficulty of reworking the prayer system actually makes this a pretty big deal as far as development time goes, to be fair. Would you rather they didn't do anything this week at all?

Question - do the old (instant restore) prayer potions restore multiples of 10 only? Or will they also restore in-between amounts?

I believe they restore inbetween amounts, but I was using prayer at the same time which was draining fairly quickly and wasn't pay too much attention but it looked like it does it in 1s.

I'm not sure how difficult the prayer rework really was - fractional prayer points were already in the game and the same code from life points could perhaps be used. I don't think this week really adds anything other than basically removing the need for super prayers - at current pray pot/wyvern bone prices and the time it takes to grind wyvern bones the regeneration potion would have to be 3k+ per dose (3x the price for regular ppots) to be inefficient. Then again super prayers were barely efficient as they were.

The only trouble I can see with these new potions is that they don't stack (I don't know if they don't, just speculating). Turmoil + prot prayer in max slayer gear is 3,85 pts/tick, so you'd need 4 doses active at the same time. Or one dose of regeneration and one dose of regular pray pot every minute. Which would mean you'd go from 74 total doses of pray restore per hour to 67 doses. Two inventory spaces per hour.

Oddly enough, I'm okay with this.

I've got too much on my mind with BXPW coming up anyway to properly get involved in a heavy-content update. I didn't think I would have, but turns out I just suck at planning. I'm actually really glad there isn't a lot of content to explore. And it seems like they spread out how you receive these new items well enough so that price-gouging shouldn't be an issue for very long. And if the prayer conversion leads to updates of any variety like the constitution ones did, I'm actually a tad bit excited. inb4 torva-like prayer armor.

Cheers, and can confirm now.

Tested with 95 prayer. Potion restore 307 prayer points. Old formula for regular prayer potion is 25% + 7.

95 * 0.25 + 7 = 30.75

So the new formula would simply be floor(level * 2.5 + 70) I reckon.

That's a good one, I'm going to test if mourners lower your prayer level/max amount of prayer points as well now.

Edit: attacked mourner, 200/980 prayer and health. Ate monkfish, still 200 health. Drank super restore, still 200 prayer.

Don't get it, I seem to be 98/98 constitution and prayer. And I can heal just fine now.

It seems to me like the effects of whatever they throw at you affect hp/pray for only 5 seconds. Btw that's an epic poison to add to a dragon dagger.

Just made my first few potions, they don't stack, restore one point per tick(it seems), house ops doesnt pause them and you get a message in red in your chatbox every minute. fun.
