fatdog16 Posted April 5, 2007 Share Posted April 5, 2007 i actually got scammed once back when i was a noob. i was smithing bronze i think, and some guy said if you give me your money ill give you double it back. i thought, why not and gave him 500gp and he actually gave me 1k back(he said it was a trust test or something). so later i see another guy saying the same thing, and i think ill be smart this time and give him 10k(all my money at the time). of course he just takes it and logs off and i didnt know about reporting at the time. :x OF course that mother is badly crazy,but I dont understand why the 22 year old girl wants to live with and have sex with the 13 year boy, just because he is lvl 126 or something? He actually believed that I was hurting him so he started walking away, and then after about 10 seconds he found the run button. I heard him say in the distance "Help my". This really cracked me up so I kept whacking him. Even though I was walking and he was running, he still couldn't get away from me. The whole chase lasted several minutes from Varrock to Rimmington, when he logged. I will never forget that. :lol: ZOMG ROFL BBQ!!!!!!!! I can make up that money with a key like that! I offered him 100k... and he offered a brass key. I decline and call him a scammer. Then, cuz I had nothing better to do, I hang out for a while and yell "(name here) is a scammer! Don't trade him!" until he logged out. Naturally he got reported. I'm 100% free-to-play!!! Randox Posted April 6, 2007 Share Posted April 6, 2007 I just remembered another time. I was mining in the mining guild and I recieved a PM from this guy with a name like E0n(lots of numbers). It read "Hello sir, I am a player moderator. Jagex has assigned me to ask you if you would like to become one too." I replied telling him no thanks, obviously knowing he was a scammer. He was probably one of those noobs that saw my red h'ween mask and wanted it. Then he begged me in PM's for ages pleading me to become a player mod which annoyed the hell out of me so I said "Ok where are you?" He told me that he was invisible because he was a player mod, but I found him hiding around those trees east of the mining guild. He tried to run away too it was so funny. When I caught up he pretended that he became visible so we could talk. So we did and he went through all the free stuff, free membership and all the 'special powers' that you get for being a player mod, such as free phats and armour delivered to your bank every month. He just needed my pass so he could register me. I told him a fake one and he logged just about as soon as I said it. When he came back he was like, tell me the real pass or i'll ban you. I noticed that he was wearing a set of rune. "Give me that rune and i'll tell you my pass for sure!" I said, he replied "Wow ok." Stupidly, he thought he wouldn't lose a thing because he was getting my pass. Wrong. After he found out that it was the wrong pass he begged and begged for my pass. He ended up giving me even more rune stuff, totaling about 400k worth altogether. This guy was so thick I felt sorry for him, but kept his stuff because he was a scamming noob. This isn't a made up story either, it's all true and very funny. If thats true, it justifys all the laughing I just did. Also, some people still fall for the armour trimming. I argued with someone over this (normally I dont bother but this guy was about to lose his armour because of his own stupidity). The scammer just argued and I think the other guy belived him, even though im wearing trimmed armour at the time (I would think this makes me more convincing, both when I say armour can and cant be trimmed, but I never say armour can be trimmed) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was in Al Kharid bank just doing the bank thing (Dropping off stuff). So this guys says "Trimming armor for free! Need crafting xp". I look at him and say "Trimmed armor is a reward from the treasure trails quest". He turns and says "Really!? Will you go on it with me!?" I say "No, its members only".
