Just dropped some $ on spins, I really want the dragon cape. But guess what I got? Two pairs of boots, and another top. I already have queens guard just from free spins, and I've already dropped $20 before in a fruitless attempt to get the cape. Now I have all of queens guard and dragon ceremonial... except the cape. Literally the only item out of the lot that I actually wanted. Quite mad at the moment.

It isn't supposed to be possible to get multiple of the same Queen's Guard or Dragon Cere items, but it is now.

I have two greaves I got off of earned spins, and they don't stack in the bank. Still missing the top and boots. :mellow:

This is why I've made the argument they should keep cosmetic gear on the SOF, but also allow it to be directly purchased. Something like 10-15 dollars for a full set sounds reasonable to me. Some WOW pets at 10 bucks, and mounts are 20 or 25 for an example.

File a bug that you shouldn't be receiving items you already have :s

Only have the hat and body myself, full queen's guard though. Gonna be a sad day when I'm only missing one piece.

Duplicates have been fixed and people with multiple pieces should not keep trying after 5 pieces. Some Mod posts:

So if you've got 4 of the set and happened to get a duplicate of one of those don't worry about trying to win the 5th.

 

If you've got all 5 and got another, I'll see if I can swap it for what you would've got.

 

If you've not got 5 of them including any duplicates, when the fix is done, you'll be able to win the other items so if you wish to collect the full set just make sure you've got 5 in total and I'll sort out the rest.

That is the way I read it as well...or at least the reward possibilities are populated. It would not suprise me in the least to find out the reward you will get is already determined as well, but his post didn't really make that clear.

I did my spins at midnight, when the newspost wasn't out yet, so all the items were still in the rare spots. :c Another 5 chances wasted. :s I only got about 4-5 pieces in total, which is sad because I am a costume hoarder.

That is the way I read it as well...or at least the reward possibilities are populated. It would not suprise me in the least to find out the reward you will get is already determined as well, but his post didn't really make that clear.

I'm expecting the pool of rewards to be predetermined, however the actual prize out of that pool to be determined when you press the green button.

 

Think some jmods have mentioned in the past that your exact prize is still determined when you press the button (and has nothing to do with the animation).

I was fully expecting to end up with an incomplete set, but I managed to finish my queens guard set with the free spins. Didn't even do the challenges. Over the summer I got sunbathe emote and the storm ring with the free spins. Didn't get shark fists though, which is what I wanted mostly.

I managed to get the final piece of my queen's guard outfit (legs) this weekend, but was unable to get the rings or sunbathe emote, still full dragon ceremonial and queen's guard is good going for purely free spins

I'm still confused as to what happened the other day. Last Thursday, I got dragon ceremonial grieves and cape (again). They were my second set of each. I still don't have the body for that set, but I got the cape and grieves again, somehow. Oddly enough, they didn't stack in my bank either.

 

When I logged back in Friday night, the cape and grieves were gone and I had no explanation for it or anything to replace them. On top of that, all weekend long NONE of my free spins even offered me the plate body.

 

Heck -- as things go, while everyone else I know got fish masks and tattoos, I think I saw either of those offered during spins only two or three times each over the entire course of the summer.

 

Suffice to say, I never got those items either ...

Yelps has deigned to give me the Queen's guard staff and hat, but no more. Everything is 1k coins or small lamps :D

Four new Skill Gear Sets on the Squeal of Fortune!

As part of this update, existing skill gear sets (Fishing, Mining, Woodcutting, Construction, Runecrafting and Thieving) have been improved, rebalanced and boosted to 5%, so it’s a good time to start training those skills again!

 

In addition, four new XP boosting skill outfits have been added to the Squeal of Fortune. Not only will each 5-piece kit certainly make you look the part, each item within the set will give you a 1% boost – a 5% boost in total – on any XP earned in that skill whilst wearing these items. The boost lasts for 30 days before the kit becomes cosmetic only so make sure you get your Sous chef’s toques and Blacksmith's helmets at the ready!

 

Planning to cook, craft, smith or concoct this weekend? From 00:00 (GMT) on Friday the 28th of September until 23:59 (GMT) on Monday the 1st of October, players will have increased chances to grab these new skill gear sets for Cooking, Crafting, Smithing and Herblore.
