Jagex possibly only listens to high levelers...

Featured Replies

The thing I dreaded came, I got banned. For 3 days (thank goodness) and 2 black marks I've been punished. But it wasn't marcoing or multiple logging as I thought. It was by breaking rule 1.

When I started RS I say bad words a lot, but then settled down. I've mostly been reported by lvls the same as mime (at the time, so 20-50). Last night went into Castle Wars and the this lvl 110ish got the sara flag (the lvl 110ish being sara) so I tried to kill him, but he kept hopping the stones and his other lvl 100ish friend kept maging me. They called me "noob" and stuff. So I just say "Fu" and log off since I hate playing Castle Wars with a high lvl playing keep flag away from zammy game Next thing I know, banned, 3 days. Right in the State testing when we have no homework.

Now, I'm not ranting about that I'm getting banned, I know what I did was wrong, but I've thinking perhaps Jagex only reads reports from high lvl players, who have been playing for a long time, rather than other lvl players.

Just a suggestion.

I guess I have to go on a other account to train him as a pure I guess until I get unbanned.

I believe that all Reports are measured equally because a level 3 could be far more saavy when it comes to reporting people. If higher leveled players had a greater emphasis based on their reports then the system would be skewed. The low levels of today are the high levels of tomorrow.

Perhaps the "high level" or one of the high levels that was there was a mod. The mod reported you, and since they have priority reports, you got banned.
No, they both said "owned" and "haha", "noob" stuff like that and both were'nt a mod.

No, they aren't after high lvl players :P CW for example is so crowded place that there's alot of "wannabe-pmods" looking for 1 wrong word. Also what I've seen, lately Jagex has become stricter with their rules (which is good imo).

I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.

I have heard they pick reports randomly because they get so many.

I would say around 10,000+ come in a day so they only read ones that are about Macroing or Multiple accounts logged in or Bad language. Thay may be another reason.

You just got unlucky

Training my pure!

So you felt antagonised and decided to retaliate with such colourful language?

Let me let you in on a little trick. There's a red button near the bottom of the screen, it's a red frowny face in fact. It's called the IGNORE button. Use the IGNORE button instead of listening to immature people and having them get you in trouble, okay? Okay.

The fact that he was a 'high level' doesn't mean a damn thing. It only means he was a high level.

...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.

Just "Fu" and banned for 3 days? Ouch.. harsh, I've seen A LOT of worse ones.

jop, is weird thaht that lvl 104 is not banned or anything and she used some pretty bad words.... really bad

I had a little bit of a same situation.. I was trainnig on the guards at Varrock Castle and a lvl 90+ came along and started calling me noob.

I replied: "Sorry I coudlt hear your flab was covering your mouth". and then he said "I cant be seen with such a noob". and then I replied "Why r u late for your lifosuction report?" he stayed silent for about 5 mins before he staretd calling me noob.

I said F*** off little F*****. He said he reported me and I didnt get Temp Banned or anything. So I agree with the person who posted earlier who said they just pick random ones. I guess you were just unlucky to have been banend I guess.

And to the person who said to put on the Ignore List: People have their own decisions and different personalities. I find it fun getting in a Comeback War with other but he was just unlucky to get banned.

Blah, long post.

You know, if they WERE player moderators they can get unmodded for unfair use of their job.

Yeah, I can personally say that I report fairly often (especially macros). This was when I was level 50 or below and several times I got a message from Jagex that action had been taken against the person. I think it's random.

being banned for saying 'fu' is kinda stupid anyway..

but 110 isnt too high so i wouldnt say that they are just listening to higher lvls.

Oh Goodness! You must be such a high level!

There, you got the response you wanted.

what do we learn from this??? Never act like a cry baby just because someone insultsu a little bit. ThÃÆÃâÃâëre is a reason that u can turn the public chat off. use that function!!!

Man... I've said some stuff worse than that and never been banned. I'd better be careful.

But yeah, people bashing you on castle wars does get really irritating. Especially when they call you a noob the second before you go back into the spawn room, and you have nothing you can do about it.

one of my p-mod buddies said that saying "WTF" isnt bannable (weird, huh?)

anyways, we've been to cwars many times with him, and right after someone cusses, we both report him lol. It's a shame how many potty-mouths there are nowadays...
