Someone comes and says to me "hey, i have a gift for you" ( a lvl 30 or something) I trade with him, and he offers a weed to me. :shock: I close trade window, and say "no ty, but thx anyway", just trying to be polite. He goes "ok, but now you must offer me your d wc axe as a counter offer, or ill report you for item scamming" :shock: :shock: :shock: Me: "um, no i dont?" he "yes you do, it says so in runescape rules, so give it to me, or ill have your account banned" Me: Report him for item scamming and tele away. Some of these scammers are really quite good, they dont just go on about trimming armor etc, but have a decent plot to get ur items. lol, same sorta thing happened to me. A scammer was doing a trust test but to make us trust him he gave us each 1k (there were 3 of us) and then did the "Trade me an item, i'll trade you back". Then we all left 1k richer.
