My parents want me to become a professional at a sport because I'm "good enough to do it".

 

I plan on going into a career in art or computers... Hell I might mix 'em both together! \

Lol, my parents want me to be a doctor or a dentist, but I want a career in art such as an Art therapist or an illustrator, maybe a fashion designer (Yes I have been doing research in school!!)

My parents want me to be whatever I want to do. I would be much interested in game design. If I cannot get that career, i'll do something with music.

For some reason my mother in particular wants me to be something in health care...For some reason, she thinks that because they make good money, and some have good hours (she isn't thinking like surgeon or family doctor; more lile physiotherapy or optometry). I've ecpressed no :shame: will to go into helping people or anything to do with medicine or even science. I have no idea what I want to do, but whatever is I'll be choosing it.

Exact words of my parents "we dont care what you become, just as long as you do good at it". LOL i think that beats all!

 

 

 

I want to become a science teacher, my fall back proffesion is something in computers.

Im doing Political Science for University this fall.

 

 

 

Then probably go for the military or government after that.

 

At this point, im still not sure if I'll go to law school afterwards...

 

 

 

Still though, my mom doesn't mind me going into the military.

My parents want me to get a PhD in some field of engineering and that sounds fine to me as long as I make money and can retire ASAP.

My parents have no part in my future.

My parents attempt to dictate what I'm going to do, to an extent. Although they don't have a career picked out for me, they do have a college picked out for me. Its this lame, super-conservative, super-catholic college with no class choices, no music program, no sports, and a bunch of stiffs. Spend 4 years of my life stuck in only four classes: math, philosophy, theology and reading the writings of old dead guys? Ehhh... No thanks.

 

 

 

Luckily, the state wants to pay for my college. Having done well in the past in school and tests comes in handy when put in BS situations.

 

 

 

Anyways, I'm thinking i might do business, architecture, real estate or something. I'd like to do something with music, but I like money. and I'm not good enough to do anything except teach. Which wouldnt be too bad, but again, money.

My parents seem to be cool with what I want to do. My Mum is fine as long as I'm a nice person, rich or poor and my Dad is cool as long as I'm successful. I reckon that I can do both of those.

I'm going to earn a diploma in popular music singning and become a bar signer probably, lol. Or if it turns out well, I'll get a band and become a little famous.. And still play in bars \

with it. I want to play in the NBA or maybe MLB. I think it would be cool

My parents support whatever I choose. Ofcourse they will give me advice when they think it's neccesary, but they certainly don't have something they want me to study or choose as a profession.

For my own interest, I'm planning to work in computer engineering for the american or japanese military, then work my way up through the ranks, and one day into politics. :P

Ill do what i want, when i want, and how i want. My mother doesnt care what i do as long as i support her when shes old like she supported me when im young. Maybe Psychology, im good at listening and giving advice.

My dad wanted me to go to Yale like he did, do amazingly in school like he did, be into strategy games and the sciences and become a doctor like he did.

 

 

 

My mom wanted me to be an intellectual, go to a good liberal arts school, be well-rounded and major in "what I was interested in" - which she thought should be some sort of social science, because that's "just what is interesting."

 

 

 

I'm going to a liberal arts school for college, will be a math major and hopefully eventually a math teacher. One of those crazy math teachers who gets all passionate about algebra and advises the school's Animal Rights Club and such :D
