Is it me? Or can you SAVE in fight caves?

Well, as a side note, I just fought my way back through the caves , this time making it to the jad. I fought him until those healers appeared, then missed a few switches due to payign too much attention to running away with teh healers to a safe spot. 28, 53, 32 or something like that. I did take a brew in the middle. But, oddly, I feel happy. A wiered kind of elation that this time, I got to the boss, I fought him, and I did kind of ok, even though I lost. And this time I wasn't screwed out of it by an update, I failed on my own merit.

If you bothered to read the terms and conditions when you signed up, they can log out out anytime without warning.

Happend to me 3 times, not that bad..Thats why you dont do fight caves tell AFTER the update

maybe on recent updates on mainpage a warning and when you login on the first page in the middle "UPDATE TODAY!!"

I agree, Dofus does a 6 hour warning, it is very reasonable :lol: ..but yeah it is quite annoying :?

a 5 hour period in advance, i dont think is needed. but i do think that a 30 or 15 minute advance would help extremely. i was at barrows the other day, everythings going as planned, and then out of nowhere, jagex updates the system, and i incredibly lag and almost die. thankfully i was on ahrim and he was 3/4 dead when it happened and i had just drank a prayer pot. but that woulda been terrible had i been on dharok

They give you a warning before they boot a server. As seen here:

 

 

 

That 3 minute warning is more than enough to defeat wave 59...after you start it you just run off to a noncombat spot and click logout...then when that round is finished your round is saved...then after the update just get back on again and continue.

Want an update warning? dont try for things around the update times.

just dont play when they are going to update. they only update it from 7 to 10 am eastern time generally, and on 1 day of the week. pick better times.

Ouch that sucks... I lagged out myself in the middle of wave 60, and I recieved the pleasure of seeing the cave from the outside for the first time in 2 hours.

Jagex have shown capable of changing minor things like the Experience values in Pest Control without a system update, losing around 1m and 2 hours work for a crappy prayer interface is quite ridiculous aswell so I say there should be some way that the Fight Caves introductee has a warning about an incoming update when it hits around 3 hours till or something. I don't know what they can do but it is absolutely stupid when you lose 2 hours work and around 1m Gp just so the prayers look different.

As others have mentioned, they shouldn't have to do anything. Everyone who is capable enough to do the fightcaves should know by now when updates generally happen. Avoid Monday to Wednesday during the British workday and you should be fine nearly all the time. If the update in the middle is such an inconvenience then do it on the weekend when a regular weekly update won't occur. I can't believe people are still complaining about this.

Well... It's not like the caves are a one time thing. You can always do it again. And hey, just think that you could've failed :P Plus you got some decent ranging exp. The only setback is the time and the money... but there's fletching for that.

Look, I'm level 79. With armour cashing in at around 50k, runes at 20k, and tuna I fished myself, I can get all the way to the last fight. Get yourself some rune armour, lobsters, 50k of runes, and a prayer pot, and you'll have no problem winning, I guaruntee it. 900k is overkill.

Is it not possible to save progress in the fight caves now though? You get a few minutes warning which should be enough.

fight caves needs atleast 2k range shots and 15 pray pots a round :-s

Play on the weekends? JaGeX never update on weekends :D

it is a problem, 5 hours may be a little TOO much time, but 30mins is ample, just for timer based mini games where the game can get cut short, happened to me twice both times my team was losing :twisted:

If your smart you know updates happen at certan times usaly.

There will be an update nearly every Monday or Tuesday. Wait 'til 10amish (my timezone, whatever that is - central?) then go to fight caves.
