Special Attacks

 

 

 

Today we have introduced some special attacks to a variety of members only weapons. The dragon weapons, excalibur, rune throwing axes and magic bows now all have different special attacks. There are many types of special attacks, from temporary boosts in stats, to strikes dealing extra damage. For full details see this page.

 

 

 

In the combat interfaces of these weapons you will now notice a new special attack bar. If you click on the bar, then your character will initiate a special attack and use up some of your special attack power. Different special attacks use up different amounts of power. If you do not have enough power for a special attack, then you can't do it. Your special attack power will slowly restore over time.

 

 

 

Expect more types of special attacks on future weapons.

 

 

 

Mining rocks and thieving from stalls

 

 

 

The new RuneScape launch inadventantly made it harder to gain resources from these in competative situations (where two or more people are trying to get the resource at once), since only one person could ever get the resource at a time. We have now fixed it back to the old behaviour where if both people are successful at the exact same instant, they will both get the resource.

Strange fruit now heals more run energy than it did previously.

The day slayer came out, then i quit 4 3 months and came back, got members around the day bone spears where released :P

I started playing around January 2002, but the first update I can actually remember happening was when the Report Abuse Button was added to the bottom of the playing window. I also remember the numerous fatigue updates as Jagex attempted to stop macros.

Hmmm first update I can really remember is the RS2 update. I was around before the wilderness, but I don't really remember them introducing it, so I guess it doesn't count.

Infact! The update I remember most was the one when they updated the rocks! They actually put a timer-script-thingy so you had to wait to mine a rock... That one still annoys me today. It was so much easier before :\

easter eggs melting i was like wth (last year this way after easter) i want easter stuff but i was too late

I believe the first update I can remember was the addition of the friend's list, lol. I remember seeing "Friends List under construction". It wasn't perfect, however. The friends list would clear itself after you received a "connection lost!" message. But it was fixed shortly after :)

I dont exactly remember but it was 1 month before the release of members. If anyone had those logs id love to sneak a peek at them

The first update I remember is Santa, when he gave out yo-yos. According to Runescape news, this was December 21, 2004.

First update that I distinctly remember was being able to see combat levels outside of wilderness :shock:

I think when they said there would be no Christmas drop. So Xmas 2003.

Well, there were a bunch of updates I remember, but the first one where the srever logged me off so the game could update was when farming came out.

my friends keeps a runescape logbook and let me read it. His first was when the 6 new prayers were released ( yeah he's lvl 3, howd you guess???)
