did any1 ever got a d chain from it? i need to know cause i been there for days and no sign of luck :wall:

i got a chain after 500 kills so yes

You know, some people kill thousands of dusties for no chain and some really lucky people kill couple hundreds or less.

i know of a kid that got one in 5 kills, and a second in 30 kills

I also got a d chain after about 450-500 kills, not to mention, all dusties killed was when doing slayer assignments.

The chances of that are astronomically low. Around the same as winning the lottery, or getting struck by lighting multiple times in the same storm... or getting 4 items from the barrows chest :lol: But if that actually did happen, he has got some good luck.

 

 

 

I've killed around 2k of them in the past with no luck. Not really surprised as I've never seen a shiny red piece of metal laying in front of me after a kill, but as I was training to 65 slayer I hoped to change that -.-

I guess its down to luck same as any other rare drop,i personally have killed somewhere between 2 and 3k and not got one,i am planning to kill about the same amount again soon though so maybe il get lucky :roll:

I've killed around 15k without anything better than a few half keys. At least it got me to 90 range and 80+ melee stats.

Zot got one on 127th kill. Takes pure luck. *Rubs my teddy bat for luck* Anyway I've seen someone with 20k kills and no luck.

I killed 3k with no chain, i was'nt surprised though people claim they kill 20k+ with no chains. Thyere probably over exagerating though as i thought i killed 8k dusties but when i calculated it by how much exp i got it was only 3k.

Still made an ok amount of cash from alching stuff, and they got me from about 55 to 78 range :

killed 500+zanaris assingment and no chain.....

 

 

 

id suggest melee as hally/range is slow

My friend killed over 46k before a chain (kept track of kills with hp exp), he got 3 left halves before the chain and is now trying to set the record for most kills without a second chain, he has the record for most reported kills before the first chain.

Wow, your friend must have got a LOT of hp exp. Any posts of it anywhere? I'd like to see the items he got.

5k + killed but no chain it is kinda very rare :cry:

 

 

 

but i did get nice ammounts of fires and rune arrows that kept me concentrated :D

this thread is annoying me, it makes me want to go back to emmbers alreay :x . But dont get me wrong it is interesting. And this isnt a flame or anything.

its all luck, you can kill 100k+ and get no chain or kill 10 and get 10 chains.

ive killed about 3k with no luck.....i go there to train anyway for its good drops and xp. i got from 98 - 101 cb there and got about 30k fires and over 1000 rune arrows

if you kill dusties with the sole intent on getting a dragon chain drop, youre going to be disappointed.

 

 

 

go there for the awesome xp they offer, and the other pretty sweet drops.

no chain after about 50k+ kills (yes fifty thousand, with RoW...), i started fighting them in november and got from 91 to 114 combat from them so far, and from 61 to 86 range on them. best thing i got was 3 half shields and 2 d spears though

eh not exactly true. I think its about a one in 30000 chance, not sure tho. Just cause its high odds doesn't mean its impossible at all. Just unlikely. And odds of being struck by lightning multiple times in same storm are more like 100000 or higher to 1. After i complete a few goals that inolve guthans, i'm off to train slayer to 65 for dusties.
