Caligo
What's the purpose of making a skiller? Most people I know that have multiple characters have a "main" which they level a little bit of everything and do quests and so on and so forth, and a staker or "pure," and some even have "skillers." I can understand pures...I know why people make them. I don't understand skillers. Why wouldn't you just level the skills on your main or pure? I tried asking a skiller in game, but he just said "You got a problem with skillers noob?" Then his lvl 10 skiller friend jumped down my throat too. Why do people sling that word around so much. "Noob"...it's lost all meaning. I was led to believe that noob was a derogitory term for a new person. Apparently I was wrong because now it's just a word you call every fellow player you come across. I'm not a noob. I've been playing this game since it came out, before falador was added on, before the wilderness, before rune, before banks could hold items. I realize my stats are low, but give me a break this is my third character. (I'm not sure what happened to the first one but I guess it doesn't matter because that was a long time ago. The second one was hijacked and sold...yep...haxed AND sold. That character was an unlucky one indeed.) So all I wanted was to ask a question...why make skillers? :? Marco
Heh, kind of derailed yourself a bit there  The people with Skiller accounts that I know of are all completly bored with their main accounts and create a new account just for comedy benifits, for example getting 40 Defense and wearing Full Rune at level 17. I personally think it's a huge waste of time (even the majority of pures), but that's just me :
HatshepsutLecter
I honestly don't see the point of them either. I have tried to make one or two but I always end up thinking that I could be raising whatever skill I am doing on my main instead of on this dumb lvl 3. :P The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI.First Dragon Drop 5/6/2006 -Dragon Med from Bronze Dragon :DFirst Barrows Item From Chest 2/20/2007 - Verac's Brassard :D
Caligo
Yeah, I barely have enough time to level one character and people make two or three of them? ...geez. On a side note, the current character I'm playing used to be a prayerbeast (way back in classic when pb's were "in")...so I guess I'm guilty of making multiple characters too. But just that once and it was only for pking lol. X Caligo X(I know, X's are stupid. I'd take them out if I could)
elishot
Most of the decent skillers don't have mains. Whether their old account was banned or they just don't play on their first account, making their skiller their main, is no ones business. I agree that I don't see the point if you are just gonna drop trade between a combat account and a skiller, or play on both equally. But if you play your skiller full time then theres nothing wrong with it.

Caligo
Could your oldest character possibly be Cali X? Er...don't remember making an account by that name but now that you mention it...it's quite possible that I did. Actually my oldest account was Bldthrsty, then Bldthrsty2 (this is the one that got hijacked, sold, and I'm guessing banned because he's no longer on the scores), and now I play with X Caligo X. koddo1
I prefer having 2 accounts so I can do 2 different things, for example if I'm camping out at Fire Giants on my main, but I feel like doing something else, I don't want to leave Fire Giants. So I hop on my skiller and WC or something.
Denismage
I created a skiller because I wanted to face a new challenge, and since many people think all lvl 3 characters are newbies and noobs, I wanted to prove them wrong as well. It also is very fun to see people wowing at your stats and calling you a cheater, bot and macroer some time, which is not true, since I would never use macros, but still is fun because you understand its hard for them to believe you came all that way. I love skillers

Kilo
Well, some people might have the intention of having there skiller account as a back-up, and because you can't make money (that much) with combat they train up the non-combat skills and ussually load them with tons of money and items that they'll need later. (full rune, runes, arrows, etc.) Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
lagatag
People do it for fun. Also they're good self efficient mules, and break up monotony of training just one main character.
Legend_Gaara
Ah! What can we say; Skilling is basically the dislike of combat and the love of non-combat. Yes; there is the common level 3 skiller with pretty good stats but they have a main account. There is a certain joy of being an unpredictable person by being level 3 yet being able to do so much! I personally started this account and it is my first - Genuine :) Legendary F2P Skiller
neoscape
They do it for the extra challenge, I mean look at zzzamorak(a famous skiller) he got 51 slayer by only using rings of recoil :ohnoes: F2P FOR LIFE!!!

Poopingman
Its silly to spread your time up amongst more than 1 character. I almost have sympathy for pures because they do have their benefits. However, "skillers" really serve no purpose other than to surprise people. Like "Wow, hes level 5 with over 1000 skill total!" Worth it? No Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
