Well I've seen tons of threads saying "OMG Jagex has ruined runescape and now everybody is gonna quit!" And well most people quit and come back *tries not to look so guilty*

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I was wonder what do you think will be the end of runescape? Where nobody would play and/or runescape wouldn't exist. We all know all good things have to come to an end :uhh:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So the question is what will be the "end of the world" (so to speak) and when do you think it will happen?

Probably if/when Jagex sells the rights to Runescape (which most likely mean no more updates) or they focus their attention on something else (which will definitely mean no more updates). Without updates, within a few months, most people will get bored with RS, and move onto something that remotely contributes to their mental well-being. :)

'Runescape 3d' only exists now. Two very different games IMO.

That statement is wrong. Rs2 is an update, probably the biggest one we'll ever see. It was so big that Jagex had to re-open rs1 to keep some paying customers happy, which was fair enough.

maybe it won't die? i played rs classic (the first one) when i was in 4th grade. now im in 9th grade. or maybe it will since as more updates come the loading time of the game may cause it to be very long (?). well there have to be something that stops ppl from playing...WOW for example. no1 in my skol plays RS anymore :cry:

I think it will end when the last Rare item gets high alched.

In a recent post by Andrew on RSO he sated that he has no plans of letting the game he spent 8 years of his life creating go anytime soon :P So i'd say it still has at least a few more years. ;)

I'd like to see a new game from Jagex, i always feel runescape is ultimately pointless cause ill never catch up to the top dogs.

if they do it right... they can milk runescape for a few more years, maybe several if they are doing good.

 

 

 

They need more fun good things in rs, and keep improving the quality of runescape, addd more exciting and fun places.

I cant agree more. the only reason i aint playing it is coz i dont have my own pc...but when i do...*looks around for azeroth cultists* SCREW WOW, COZ IM COMING BACK, BABY! :D

hmmm, things i could see that would hurt runescape:

 

 

 

Jagex releasing a new game, where you can transfer your character. if there wasn't the character transfer from rsc to rs2, i can guarantee there would still be 5 rsc worlds. furthermore, i don't think it would have hurt there sales all too much, infact they could have been raking in money from rsc and rs2.

runescape is a pretty stable game. people say they would stop when the updates stop, typical rs2 product attitude. why back in my day, updates came ever 5 years and it cost us half a finger and a nickel. all joking aside, i would guess that if they did not update there game once, in two years you would still see 200,000+players on the game at peak hours. the game is imense now. i remember when i could say that yes, i did indeed know everything about runescape. now, i highly doubt anyone can claim to know more than half there is to know about runescape without being an idiot

yeh, people would not stop playing if it wasn't updated. People were indirectly forced to stop playing rsc.

O yeah, im sure once runescape shuts down, insted of playing any of the other thousands of games, everyone will go and do something that remotely contributes to their well being.
