I bought my DS so i could actually, y'know, play games on it. What are you trying to say there? You can play games on the PSP, listen to music, store photos, watch movies/videos and use wi-fi for interwebs connection. I got my PSP mainly to play games on, the other things were just a bonus. runescapeloser22 Posted November 18, 2006 Share Posted November 18, 2006 I cant really respond to Insane without being called a racist so ill do it the best I can A lot of it depends on what kind of people you hang out with and your community, if you live in a mostly asian community or have mostly asian friends then most of the people will want a Wii Dont bother calling me a stereotype hmm.. oddly its all white kids here who want wii's, and the asians who want PS3. dont call me racist or say im sterotyping or anything, but alot of asians like the type of games on PS3 which has alot of "Shoot 'Em Up" games and hardcore racing games :? A few months ago when the name of the system was officially named the "wii" almost everyone hated it, and said they would always call it the revolution. Im not into sports games either. So if the PS3 had games that could be played by anyone, and no adult games, you'd still buy the PS3, right? Thats about as poor a point as you can get. There were 50 people in line, and while no managers would say how many units they were getting it looked as though they knew they weren't going to have enough. So I left, I'll have to wait a little while to get the Wii. Yeah, my wal-mart had 30, and at 6:00pm I called and there were already 30 people in line for the midnight sale. People have been waiting for days inside all of the 24-hour places that are sellign them in less than 5 minutes. I went to go hang out with my friends earlier today at Wal-Mart and the b.o. was incredible. I'm definetly getting one as fast as I can get another 20 bucks....currently at $250, but need money for tax :'(... The Wii is definetly going to dominate according to just about anyone that I know, the craze for the Wii is just jaw-dropping. People payed $200 each for these wrist-bands that one store gave out to the first 17 people (only 17 Wii's at this location) that entitled you to get a Wii as long as you stay in the store until launch. I knew about Wii having online play Wii doesnt have NEARLY enough games aimed toward a 20 year old who hates sports and doesnt like games like Metroid. Why would I spend $250 on a system with 1 game that I like when it is going to be avaible on the system that I prefer? I just checked the list of Wii titles and guess how many appealed to me? CoD and Zelda, now that would be Nintendo "fanboyism" if I bought the system for 2 games I dont care about games where you play as a ninja with a sword (Red Steel) We get it dude. You don't like the Wii and no one can justify it enough. ice_ring Posted November 19, 2006 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Yay just got back from a friend's house where we played Wii sports, because the Zelda shipment didn't come in :( The system is so awesome, every motion you make with the controller is followed perfectly. Golf in Wii Sports is great, I loved it, its so realistic. Now my buddy's and I aren't out of shape (we all run track) and after a few games of tennis we were actually getting kind of tired. I guess you could say that I like to play games where you kill people or play online, something that Wii will never provide It's already been pointed out, but the main reason why i buy multiplayer games is to be in the same room as other people. 4-player Mario Kart + 4-player Wario Ware = gaming heaven. Anyway, did anyone here get a Wii yet? EDIT: [Warning] I can't remember if this has been posted yet, but Youtube has the IGN video review for twilight princess up here. Haha, that's so amazing. I always love that part when you're unpacking and you're seeing all this new stuff, and you don't really know what's it for. :D I can't wait to get my hands on one. I had an invitation from Nintendo for a Wii night, you know, test the games, have all the nice food and drinks. But I didn't have time. :( My collegue went, and before he went he wasn't that interested in the Wii, he didn't think the concept was going to make it. But when he came back he was pretty enthousiastic about it. Not that he's gonna buy one though. He'll still get a PS3.
