If they made rares obtainable, from say, treasure trails. Even if they were extremely rare everyone in RS would tt and hundreds of phats would enter the economy breaking many-a-merchant.

give everyone the money cap. can you say hyperinflation and worthless money?

- Destroy ALL existing items (not shop stocks or drops, just the ones that exist)

 

 

 

- Remove every item spawn from the game

 

 

 

- Increase the chances of getting nothing but bones from a monster by 500% and decrease the chance of getting an item by 500%.

 

 

 

- Increase all shop prices 100 fold.

 

 

 

- Divide alchemy reward/shop buying prices by 100.

 

 

 

- Move all skill-related areas into level 123 Wilderness, a new area.

 

 

 

- Divide all weapon/armor bonuses by 10.

 

 

 

- Make the requirement for every armor 100 defense.

 

 

 

- Make the requirement for every weapon 100 attack and strength.

 

 

 

- Decrease all exp given by 100.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, pretty much what would happen is everyone would log in finding themselves without any items. Where would they go? A skill related area, which would be in level 123 wilderness. The strong people would come and kill them, but they would find no useful loot since they probably wouldn't have any. If you tried to PK, you'd find yourself punching, kicking, and blocking. If you want to train mage, then you would be out of luck. With no money, you probably couldn't afford 23k for a nature rune that would give you less than 1 exp point.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eventually, people would stop doing things because they would see no point in them.

I think that to break runescape..the answer is to make all items in runescape in this exact moment discontinued. so you cant make the items or get a drop from a monster ^.^

I don't know about anyone else, but taking away your exp would kill me. By that I mean being able to see your current exp and what's needed for the next level, so you can work out what you need. If all you could see is your current level, I'd probably leave.

Delete the Rares. And Say bb Merchants :)
